While I still despise the rear end, I can now officially say the rest of the car has grown on me. I am starting to really appreciate the beauty of the front end and the interior is def an upgrade.

I was very skeptical when i saw earlier spyshots/photos.

But i have to say its not half bad. the E coupe is def better looking though.

QUESTION: The gear selector on the sedan is on the steering column while the coupe has it in the traditional location?

I wonder if the E coupe is a true E-class coupe, or just a renamed CLK. Will teh E coupe have same quality interior as the E-class sedan, or will it borrow some aspects from the C class as the old CLK did?

Styling is very angular like the newest of mid size Cadillacs. I am sure in time the crisp lines will again become more rounded as in the past. The back end looks very much Accord like with the design of the lamps. Not that that is bad. Overall a very stylish car but does not impresh with sportiness nor speed. I wonder what the AMG folks will do to bring that out?...

IMO - the rear of the W211 is better. The interior is a wash (both are nice). The interior of 212 looks very close the new C-class interior. The front of the 212 is nicer. In summary:

front: +1
rear: -1
inside: wash

tough crowd.

AMG will find a way to make the car look menacing. I still like it.

most people check out the front or side of the car.. which this car has its best attributes.

Its looks expensive (inside and outside) except for the rear tail lights.

While the exisitng 211 car, specially 08,09 MY's look still pretty good for its age.. .the new design is better.

It won't win any BMW owners over.. but it will be successful product for MB.

I hope they add the dual clutch trans and the 63 engine.. it would do the job for a few year.

is it just me or does it look a lot like the new CL's ? Atleast thats what i think. I know they discontinued the CLK but why would they want the new E couple and CL to look so much alike?
