List of places you shouldn't speed in L.A
It seems like people are really worried about speeding tickets now a days and I thought I'd make a thread where we could all write down where we've seen cops with radars/lasers. I think people would appreciate it if the thread didnt have any filler, just locations.
Maybe we could even get the mods (our we could do it ourselves) to find some mapping application where we could mark all the spots down to find the safe pieces of land. Lol.
Westwood/Beverly Hills area: Wilshire basically isn't safe from the Beverly Hilton to Manning. I've seen cops pulled over in the 76 gas station, in El Rodeo Middle School, on Comstock and Wilshire (really sneaky spot in front of a tree), a bunch of spots in the golf area and in several parking lots of the high rise apartment buildings on Wilshire.
Beverly Blvd. between La Brea and Larchmont
Olympic Blvd from La Brea to Western
Venice and Crenshaw traveling East on Venice
On the 405 South right before the Wilshire exit, there's an extra lane added to the freeway, right there, there's a cop car on the right. You wont see him til you pass.
More to come... Please help with the list.

Yeah, that stretch of Wilshire is treacherous. I got a speeding ticket there last July from the cop hiding behind the tree on Devon, but I got it dismissed in a trial by written declaration.
Also, on a related note, gotta watch out for the DUI checkpoints that they do on Sunset on the weekends. I just got stopped at it on the way home with my girlfriend (I don't drive drunk but I had 2 beers) but they let us go no problems. Still though, its scary as all hell.

It's really horrible on Wilshire. At least 10 spots for cops to hide. And as for DUI checkpoints, they're a painin the *** to wait to get through, but I dont mind them as I dont drink and drive either.
And thanks L8Apex, I got Trapster on my iPhone. Havent used it much yet, but it seems great.

Spots in the OC. Ortega thru San Juan Capistrano, the 405 between San Clemente and the 73 Toll road, both directions, the 73 NB after the main toll booth and just as you start down the hill, the 73 near Moulton SB, the 405 in Seal Beach and anywhere within a 5 mile radius of CHP offices.
This is also a good web site: http://www.speedtrap.org/speed-traps/find/

Ok as for trail by writen declaration, when you get the bail/fine paperwork write on the ticket that you are not guilty and request for trail by writen declaration. then will this out!
