LET Tune / Dyno and no more throttle closing!!

Mods are...
Evosport 175mm pulley
Evosport Phenolic Spacers
80mm TB
K&N filters
Code3 HE
Cm30 pump
Removed secondary cats

the only thing changed between dyno runs was the addition of the LET tune.

ON top of the gains on the dyno, the car feels smoother. Also after installing the 80mm TB i had an issue with partial throttle going into full throttle where the car would buck hard. now that's pretty much all gone, there is only one scenario where i can replicate it yet it's much much less severe then before and may just be the sc engagement.

my car picked up peak 26whp and 9qtq and 43 whp and 35wtq at redline. i need a coolant bleed as the IATs and coolant temps started going up after the 5th run in 30 minutes. which is where wayne stopped doing pulls on it, saying it still has another 15whp in it.

Your worst nightmare...
I suggest you do that coolant bleed. The system IS very sensitive to this. I Had air pockets on my V12 and it drove like crap!!, lol!..Once took care of it all power was back. Your car is very healthy with those dyno numbers...let me know when you heading to E-town..

That Air/fuel ratio on top is RICH, are they using that to cool the charge and give more timing or is there another reason for it?

Hey Mark, whats going on. It was nice to have met you in person.

I'm a little confused about something.
The numbers at the top of the dyno has your torque at 527.21, yet your torque curve seems to never exceed the 500 mark of the graph.
Why is that?

EDIT: My bad. I enlarged my PC'c font a few days ago and the right hand side of the graph was hidden from me.

The Tq is on the right side of the graph its the HP on the left side nice numbers now get it bled and get her running as good as she can be. Did he give you any times on bleeding the system other then that little rubber piece you remove to do the basic bleed? I think i need to bleed again myself.

we tried removing that rubber piece and running the clear hose to the reservoir but the coolant would not go all the way for some reason. maybe my cm30 went bad even though its 3 months old. it was defiently working when we listened it.

Unfortunately Wayne forgot to pack a cable he needed to upload my new file, so I'll have to wait to have my LET tune done during their next Tri-state visit.

Wayne did manage a baseline run though. My car dynoed 445rwhp and 428rwtq, which wasn't too shabby for my Lil Ole SL500.

Trying to keep up with you 55K Powerhouses is not an easy task. Your cars are monsters

Lot more left in your car by leaning out the A/F.

Nice numbers!

Like stated, you are leaving a lot of HP on the table with an a\f ratio like that. Are they measuring out the tail pipe or from a bung? Your a\f should level out at 5500 rpms, in and around 11.5. Is this a mail box tune?

Well i dont think it would go all the way up the tube the tube is just to let the air out then once it isnt then just take it off and plug it. Let me know if you find a better way to bleed it out i guess there is another thing you can remove to do this Jerry told me he was going to send me a picture but i havent got it yet.

Hey what’s up guys? Its Tony here, the guy that was with Wayne this weekend. It was such a pleasure to meet all of you guys.

To explain those AFR's do to the fact that the car was over heating, the ecu will try and compensate for the heat issue by adding fuel to cool things down a bit, the IAT temps was getting hot and its trying to protect itself from thermal overload.

Hope that answered your question.

The top end isn't all that is off. Yes, heat can and does do a similar thing to our cars but those A/Fs are on a steady dump, NOT a spike (which is what the IATs do). Not to start a spat war and glad that OP is happy but I wouldn't write off the drop to heat soak until I had better data. Also, the TQ /HP bands should get kinda squirrly when it is dumping fuel.
Why do both A/F lines look the same? Wouldn't a change in tune show?

Glad you're not tuning, the fuel could be used to cool the charge and allow more timing

Dude, I'd blow up a moped if I was tuning.

I get what you say but I am asking something different. Given that the OP had mods already and that this is a before and after of a tune only, I would have expected differences in the A/F ratios. For example, a flatter line?

yeah same here. i think he tried changing it but the ecu kept dumping fuel. i am not sure....it would be nice for Wayne to chime as the A/F looks nearly identical.

Sorry I missed this one.

I actually commented on your issue here: https://mbworld.org/forums/3388747-post190.html
