I thought this would be a simple install that could be done at home without a body shop.

I actually like the idea of having a body shop check the fitment of the first diffuser as long as they're a good shop with skilled technicians and a very good reputation. A professional who does this kind of work every single day for years and years will likely give more valuable feedback to Neal than someone who's doing it for the first time. In fact, I was planning on doing the same thing when I was first on the list and was getting the first one, but due to scheduling conflicts in July, I ended up passing the job on to Jeff who has been a tremendous help so far with all of this

From the preliminary feedback we got from Neal and Jeff, I'm almost 100% sure that the diffuser will fit perfectly the first time around and will be confirmed tomorrow..... no pressure Jeff Once Jeff gives his okay, we start production and the final wait game starts

Assuming it fits 100%, when should we expect the balance of the diffusers to be produced and shipped? Thanks,

The diffuser does appear it is something that would be easy enough for me to install myself.
As MBF stated for the first run of this item i thought it would be a good idea to have a shop do the install as well. Of course with me monitoring during the process to make sure fitment and everything goes as planned. I plan to call then shortly to make sure I can get in there today to have this completed.
If all goes smooth I can give the thumbs up to neal and then he can complete the rest of the orders. And as well if people choose to install themselves we can be assured that there arent any issues that come up.
I will keep you all posted.

Dont worry. its all gonna come. I promised Neal I would talk to him first before divulging too much info. I can say for the most part things went really well. We can discuss specifics later.
I am going outside in a few to take pics of it on the car. I dont suppose he will have any trouble with that. Will post in a bit. Waiting in Neal to call me back. Left him a VM.

Does the right side have a larger gap than the left side or is that just an angle of photography trick

yeah IMO opinion it looks great! I think neal can probably move forward with producing the rest. Only a few small minor changes to the screws on the back but nothing major. The diffuser for me fits really well.

yes the right side gap on my exhaust tip is off a little.
Keep in mind I have aftermarket exhaust and pipes and it appears to be off from the exhaust install. I plan to revisit the exhaust shop that did the work to straighten in up for me. If your exhaust is stock and straight it shouldnt have the problem i got. Its off for me about 1/2" Just gotta bend some pipes a little on the passenger side.
Good observation I noticed it too when we were putting the diffuser on. Not really a big deal. Should be easy to fix.

Hi Guys, I am sorry for not being able to respond quicker, Jeff. I am sorry, I did not get your voice mails I actually have not been in work since Friday, I been home sick with 104 degree fever since yesterday and been in bed all day! I just finally now got up and am checking this from my laptop in bed..... I should hopefully be at work tomorrow, and I will call you and we can discuss how the install went, if anything small like the screws or tape needs to be moved, that is no problem at all. I will give you a call to discuss before we get ready to produce the other 11.

Thanks
Neal

I was just kidding about this.

The diffuser looks great and I can't wait to put it on my car. Hopefully production starts soon and the minor changes to the tape and screw locations do not require re-working of the diffuser.

Once again, great job Neil!

No. The minor changes are just as I said. minor. IMO these changes will be easily made without disrupting production. Neal and I will hopefully chat more tomorrow to discuss specifics and when its the other 11 peoples turn you should hopefully have a slightly easier time them I/we did.
For the most part I would give a big
