Thumbs down OT - MBWorld going nuts !!!!

I have subscription management turned on in my account.

When I make posts, I do not get the subscription management alerts as soon as someone posts to a thread I'm subscribed to. But instead, I get all the notices every few days, usually 10-15 minutes after midnight.

As a result, when these "batches" of subscription notices are sent out, my iPhone goes crazy alerting me with new emails. It keeps vibrating and "beeping" like 100 times because that's how many notices MBWorld is sending out to me at once.

Anyone else experiencing this?

it might be a delay with your ISP or perhaps your PDA is querying your email server at intervals set too far apart.

Once it sends you a batch, it doesn't send you any more until you visit the website again. Then it resets and sends a batch. Normal for this forum software.

I believe it sends you one alert PER THREAD that you are subscribed to. In my case, I posted on a couple dozen of threads. So when the alerts are sent out, it sends it to me all at once, individual email alerts for each thread.

It's not my iPhone, because I'm receiving it on the computer at the same time. I'm really surprised I'm the only one experiencing this.

Who is the site administrator for MB World? We need to report this so it gets fixed. I agree with removing the subscription alert, but this is only a band-aid fix for something that we know is wrong.

Post this in the Suggestions area and an admin should notice it.

I'm such a dumb dumb! I checked the User CP setting and found that it was set to "WEEKLY SUBSCRIPTION ALERTS." It's no wonder why I get a crap load of alerts from MBWorld all at once! hahahha
