Kleeman Headers installed on stock motor
Just finished the install friday. I am running stock pulley and tune. The car pulls a LOT stronger on the top end while the bottem end is about the same or slightly less. The big difference seems to be when the car shifts gears at WOT on the freeway it really jumps out when it hits the next gear.
Thinking of just a tune at this point.

If you feel a slight loss at the bottom end it is likely due to the missing cats. The headers really wake up the top end performance though and I'm in the same boat as you; I put headers on an otherwise stock car and noticed a BIG increase.

I have mixed feelings about that if it's true....
One of the best features I like about my 5.5 is the torque at the lower rpm range and losing a bit seems a bit disturbing.

I have some Kleeman headers and downpipes just waiting to be installed. I'll admit I'm a bit concerned with an exhaust shop installing the headers as opposed to my own dealership. Unfortunately the dealership doesn't do any exhaust welding so I'm out of luck. So if it's possible for them to do just the headers and then just drive it to an exhaust shop with open headers to get the rest done (Primary cat delete, downpipes fitted and welded to the rest of the exhaust) then I would much rather do that. Is there anything harmful that can occur driving with open headers for a short period of time???? Who else has done this??

it is possible that with open headers you will suck in cold air and the temperature differential will crack parts in the cylinder head (heads, valves, etc) very bad idea.

Kleeman headers
Do you mind if I ask where you bought the Kleeman headers and how much they were?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Do you have a sound like "ssss" when you installed the KLEEMANN headers? Coz since installed them, I have this sound, but when It was stock headers, I could not hear it.
Some say, it is normal with KLEEMANN headers.
