Who has the Chrysler aftermarket warranty?
I had been dealing with a "Check Engine" light for a couple of months (Oxygen sensor so I wasn't in a hurry) and then the car became very difficult to get out of park so I took it in and here is what happened;
Chrysler approved everything to be fixed under my warranty with the $200 deductible. The total invoice was over $1500 and there was no delay in the approval (same day). Actually when I went in to pick up the car the Service adviser told me that he was actually surprised at how easy they approved the claim, even stating that the MBZ factory warranty would likely not have covered the vacuum hoses and o2 module under the MBZ extended warranty. I'm not sure how accurate this is but he was overly complimentary of the Chrysler warranty

To date here is my experience; I paid $2800 for the 3 year warranty in December of 2009 and there have been ~$6500 in payments made to the local MBZ dealer for 2 claims, and I still have 24 months of coverage left. All in all pretty hard to argue with the quality of this warranty if you can get one.........and I was really convinced by comments and recommendations from members on this forum to buy it......Thanks guys

I actually give the Service adviser Carte Blanche and tell them to find ANYTHING that they think they can justify to an adjuster after they look at the main issue(s) I bring the car in for. Nothing additional was found this time around but last time they found a leaking rear seal as well as something in the rear end ("U" joints I think). I think of the $200 deductible as the premium I pay to go to the dealer vs. an independent mechanic as my indy will waive the deductible but the dealer is pretty good and gives me a loaner.
Cheers!
