Who has the Chrysler aftermarket warranty?

Well I've already shoo'd him off. I think he said that because HIS warranty wouldn't cover the S/C. It was a generic policy that wasn't inclusive so he said that since S/C's weren't typical OEM equipment, they weren't covered. I could see that being realistic, but then he went on to say "and I bet you won't find another company in California that will cover it, because it's illegal."

Doing some heavy research on this forum as a potential future owner and must say, great forum!
I know some of your cars are modded. Have any of you gotten a hard time or been denied warranty service because of your mods? Or do you reinstall the stock parts before taking it in?

I ended up going with a Fidelity Platinum Warranty today. 6yr/60,000 miles with $0 Deductible for $2,363 (2005 SL500 w/ 17,000 miles). It only requires 10% down and then it's 0% for 18 months. This is a solid company from my research and even Volkswagen has Fidelity underwrite their extended warranties. The prices are all over the map so you need to shop around. I was originally quoted $2,595 for a 3yr/36,000 at another MB dealer. Thanks to GoodBeach, he had a great contact at MB of of Hagerstown who deeply discounts this warranty. He was great to work with. I highly recommend contacting him. His contact info is below...

I sent an email to Austin today regarding thier warranty. So we'll see what he comes back at for my 05 E55.
Also, I called Chrysler and talked with Todd, I beleive who was Jerry's contact over there. They just changed policies today, requiring vehicle inspections just so people know. So any vehicle over 4 years old, which is basically all W211 AMG's, or any vehicle with over 48k miles, will need a MB 100 point inspection or whatever you call it.
Their basic 4yr/unlimited warranty is ~$2700 for a $200 deductible or ~$3200 for a $100 deductible. I had a real easy conversation with them, short of needing an inspection, I was planning on going with them today, but will need to get my car inspected first, then I can see about picking up their warranty later this week.
Unless fidelity comes back cheaper and easier, I will go with Chrysler, but we'll see what kind of rates Austin at Fidelity can get us.
Thanks and I'll keep you updated.

I had called Todd too. He seemed like a nice guy. If you don't drive a lot of miles you may want to look at the 5yr/70,000 Chrysler warranty. It was the same price as the 4yr/unlimited miles. $3,285 w/ $100 deductible or $2,635 w/ $200 deductible.
I was happy with the 6yr/60,000 at Fidelity with $0 deductible, no inspection, $1,000 cheaper, and I know they will still be in business in the next 30 days. I hate to say it but I think it's a gamble to go with the GM or Chrysler extended service contracts. If they file Chapter 11, I think these service contracts will hold no value. Secured creditors get paid first followed by unsecured so by the time they get to these contracts I don't think there will be any money left. Hopefully it never comes to this though.

Hey I am in the market also as I just picked up an E55. Have you seen Fidelity's BBB file. They have given them an "F" rating.

Do you have a contact number/extension for Michael?
I have my appointment tomorrow with MB, but if I don't need to spend $200 on an inspection, I don't want to.

I did see that BBB rating. If you read through the complaints there are 130 total. Of the 130 complaints, 117 were resolved in the customers favor. Also, I think a lot of the complaints come from people who did not purchase the Platinum protection which is an exclusionary policy. They most likey didn't understand what their basic warranty covered so they filed a complaint. You also have to consider the 10's of thousands of warranties they have sold with no complaints. People like to complain more than they like to say "hey thats a great company". If Chrysler was not on the verge of total collapse, I would say thumbs up to the Chrsyler warranty. I'm not willing to gamble on it though. The other thing is several MB dealers sell the Fidelity warranty so it can't be that bad. Like I mentioned early Volkswagen even uses them to underwrite their extended warranties. Just my $0.02.

Btw, it really pisses me off that a few bad apples had to spoil the "no inspection" thing at CSC. I managed to get in before the rule change and I'm not concerned that my car would pass the inspection, but its sort of annoying that every guy with rod knock goes and buys the warranty, and two days later is in the dealer.
Just raises the cost and hassle for everyone.

Also, I received a service contract pre-owned vehicle inspection sheet from Todd at Chrysler....will this same inspection sheet work with Michael Case if I end up going that way to save $300? And I assume, both Michael and Todd are both selling the same warranty, 4yr/unlimited mileage maximum care plans from Daimler Chrysler Corporation. Just want to make sure I contact the correct person once I get my inspection completed.
Thanks in advance.

And to the other guy no I don't get anything. I don't know the guy. I saw that someone posted him up on benzworld and I called him to find out stuff. Just trying to help members save a few bucks.
