I am curious about drivability with a 180. Is it ok to have a 180 for a daily driver. will I have a lot of lag. Or is it better to go with a smaller size. I will be getting the HE and pump. also I see that with the spearco HE there is no 7 inch. you can never be too efficient so, can I get the new core in 7 inches so I can have maximum cooling. coming from a highly modified car I found having a great intercooler is key to getting good numbers and a better margin of safety.
I have a 180 .. no driveability problems, but serious power. Initially, I thought there was a lag, but another member on the board expalined it quite well to me .. I dont think I have a lag.

can u explain more about the 180mm?
if u dont have lag then what is it?
also more details on how it drives.
im also considering going to a 180mm (i have a 168mm atm) after upgrading my cooling.

Guys, I plan to drive from NC to Elpaso, Tx this summer in the Beast. I will be out there on business for a while. If I get this pulley set and just use my stock cooling system do you think I will have cooling issues? Or should i just leave the car stock?

I drive my car in South FL and we have 90 degree days all the time and i have not yet shut down from getting to hot. I have the Code 3, -10mod , and CM30 as my only cooling mods and will be doing the Tstat. Once you have these cooling mods with a 180mm and LET tune you will be good to go.

Code 3 uses a Spearco Core. It is a 5 inch, they said it is very efficient so they scrubbed designing the 7". It would be nice to get a 7" though -- im not sure who makes it..?

this will also make peak performance last longer.

Yes the ASP is alot heavier since it's an OEM pulley with a ring welded on to it. Even just the stock pulley is heavier then the LET one. I wonder what gains there is to be had with less mass. I would assume more response and faster boosting along with more HP at the engine due to rotational mass. Maybe I will do a before and after dyno let180 vs asp180 with the same LET tune and then just a base tune.

hi
Problems is i will need to order everything from the US as im on the UK . lol
Where can i get a good heat exchanger?>?>? and a Tstatic>? and good places you can reccommend.?
Im getting 11.8 on the 1/4 im trying to get it down to the early 11s,
But the weather in the UK is rubbish for the 1/4 miles to much grit on the tracks.
thanks

Ok guys!!
I got 10 more 172mm pulleys arriving today. I have 2 or 3 orders to catch up on, then the rest are ready to ship.
Don't wait, we will be going back to retail very soon.

Do you know if you'd do a group buy on the 180mm Pulley? I'd be interested in the 180 vs the 172.
Thanks,
Josh
