w211 E55 Spare Tire

How many of you do not have a spare tire? If you don't, have you added one? If so, did you have to reconfigure the battery set-up?

Does anyone know if this was an option in 2003/2004? I "believe," but I could be wrong, spare tires came standard in '05 and later model years?.?.

Do a seach for the user mbenznl
He replaced the rear tub to accomodate the spare wheel.

mine don't have spare tire...
will have MBenzNL relocate the battery so i can put a full size spare...

I added the spare wheel to my own 2002 (W211) E220CDI and 2003 E55 (and some other cars not belonging to me)...the battery does have to be relocated (and secured)...it is all doable

If you don't mind me asking, was the price fairly reasonable to relocate the battery to make room for a spare?
