haha your absolutely right that car was amazing two wheel drive, 500hp and 1300kilos ... do the math..... ![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
Two kids and a two car garage killed that one. I had the E500, the RUF and the wife refused to drive either. She had a cheap station wagon for the kids that we parked in the driveway. ...... winter came and stuffed that plan right up.![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)
A few trades later and she had a brand new Golf GTI with DSG and I got the E55. Back to happy families.

This E55 vs E63 battle will never end. It's funny, I remember almost the EXACT same arguments back in the day when Audi went V8 with the S4 from the TT V6. You had your tuner-crazy forced induction crowd versus the normally aspirated crowd. The battle still goes on to this very day.
Obviously what I have reflects what I like, most notably forced induction since all my cars have it... but at the same time the E63 is a gorgeous, capable, excellent product from AMG... enjoy it Dan.

mmmmm yes was very nice ... mine had a RUF computer upgrade and a few other factory goodies ... gave 2 pounds extra boost and different timing and fuel maps hence the 500hp they quoted me.

Pongs was a 993 conversion to RUF. Mine was factory built. Basically same car though. Not sure what CPU he had from memory. Pong is a cool guy.
Rennlist was my hangout before mbworld. Like this place very cool bunch of guys and gals.

2005 E55, 2004 E55(sold), 2001 Viper GTS, 2006 Viper VOI9, 1994 ZR-1 Corvette 2009 Viper ACR,
My Dad got an E63 last year... To be honest, I prefer the 55... The 63 does not have the brute torque from a stop, that I love soo much on my E55..
I will say however, the 63 has a nicer ride. And some nice interior touches..
As noted above, they are both great cars.. My lease is up in 13 months. I'm already looking.. Maybe a 10' 63 will be in order?

Common guys...... I thought we went over this before ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
In terms of performance....
Stock vs Stock = Driver's Race
Modded vs Modded = E55 Is King (Although the Brabus Twin Turbo Kit may change that soon
).
In terms of everything else: looks, handling, brakes, interior, etc..... The E63 is definitely more refined.
By the way, that video you posted on the track was between gE63 and Jangy..... both cars were stock except that Jangy was running without his intake tubes. I believe he lost to Greg's E63 on every single run that day but he did beat the CLS63 every single run as well![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
To the OP, congrats on your new car...... you'll absolutely love it
