anyone know where to get 1 e55 rim?
A friend smacked a pothole and cracked his front rim... wants factory but doesn't want to pay 4 million dollars. Where would you guys source 1 used front e55 rim for a 05? Also, is the design exactly the same for the 03-06? Thnx. Z

Those rims from jerryswheels.com are fake that have "AME" stamped on the face.
A source I used that carries OEM rims is http://detroitwheelandtire.com/about/

Pothole Victim
Zack was nice enough to post this on my behalf. I am trying to find 1 OEM front E55 rim as mine is cracked. NTB claims they can get a knock off for cheap, but I would rather find a good used one. Any ideas? Anyone know anything about the knock off's?

He got me a brand spankin new OEM E63 bumper for my car. And I just picked up one C240 wheel because my wife decided to play Dukes of Hazard with our nanny's C-Class.

It's quite comical.....
Coming back from the circus with my 3.5 year old in the R-Class. My wife giving chase in the Nanny's C240, which she was boogying around in that day. After the circus, my son wanted some good ole chicken nuggets and fries from Wendy's. We go through the drive through and my wife follows, because she wanted a spicy chicken sandwich, plain with BBQ sauce.
As we're leaving the drive-thru and negotiating the parking lot, she's opening up her BBQ sauce with the food bag on her lap. We get to the exit of the shopping center and have to make a left, across a median. I make the left and away I go. She, while making the left, clears the median but drops her Wendy's bag. Using her right hand, and her cat like reflexes, she reaches for the bag. Problem is, she forgot to let go of the steering wheel. So, she basically force-fed the car down the curb's throat.
Damage:
Right front wheel - Completely destroyed cosmetically, but holding air somehow.
Right front tire - Huge chunk taken out of sidewall, but still holding air
Right rear wheel - Fine cosmetically, but blew a golf ball size hole in the tire
Right rear tire - see above.
So, 2 new tires, 1 new wheel. And just for kicks, throw in a lower ball joint and alignment. Because you can now feel/hear the ball portion of the ball joint, flopping around inside the socket like a bee-bee in a boxcar.
Turns out being an $800.00 chicken sandwich.
