No offense to anyone here but the ML's are the ugliest cars on the road. It's like a RAV-4 with roid rage.

The newest ones aren't nearly as bad as the earlier models, and that Brabus deal gets mad kudos for the power-plant... But I stand by my word

No, no...the R-Class has it beat and the fact that MB made an R63 just boggles my mind.

Compared with the X6?
Are you kidding me?

In last year's cycle of auto shows (Dallas to be specific), it was displayed at the BMW booth. Every "new" car always gets a lot of traffic ... just because car people want to see new things.

There was no one in front of the X6. It was noticeable because of the lack of interest.
I bet X6 sales reflect that antipathy, although I have no information to support that comment.

I have seen less than 10 X6's on the road here in So Cal since it was released. Doesn't seem to be a popular car at all.

I'm in SoCal too. I think I've only seen one.

But if I'm going to be honest, I kind of like the looks of the X6.

I need to test drive it to make a real assesment. I think it's a cool concept, but I'm not exactly sure where BMW meant to go with it.

Have you been inside of one yet? I really like the feel of the car, but there's absolutely no rear window visibility whatsoever. But it really looks like it'll be very sporty and nice to drive. I can picture a regular X6 out handling an ML63.

even with a tt it will still be a slow pig. Its just too darn heavy. A ttv8 and hopefully it will do high 12's.

My friend has an '04 X5 4.8IS, now that truck is fun to drive, and much better looking than the X6. IMO

Even with twin turbos that thing can't outrun ugly.

Gotta agree...I didnt like it initially...but the X6 has grown on me. The interior is nice. Its for those guys whose wives are bothering them for an SUV...but they refuse to buy a truck...then the cave and say...yeah whatever...as long as its sporty.

Jackpro....MB MUST do twin turbos and 4.5 to 5 liters. The RS6 has V10tt and the new 5's will have that......They cant afford to go with a gas guzzling 6.3L or whatever...

That said....as much as I like turbo's....if they did a 7 liter DOHC 4 valve engine.........Yeah Id be happy.

Would 550rwhp NA with a sick exhaust sound tempt you?

No, I haven't but a couple friends of mine told me the cabin space is smaller than you'd expect. I'd like to take a look at it. Maybe I'll mosey on over to the BMW dealer when I have time.

On another note, I wonder why BMW is developing this engine in the X6 and not the X5. I'm not a fan of the current re-design, but I would have loved to own a first generation X5 4.8is in Imola Red. I've seen less than a handful on the road EVER. A friend of ours owned one and it was one of his favorite cars.
