Some pics of my girl
What do you guys think, I really need your advice here. I got scared out of my mind when I had some warranty work done on this car last week. I got a malfunction called headlight cornering. So I took her in and got it fixed under warranty, $2500 later. I could not believe it would have cost me that much if it was not for the warranty. Well my warranty is up next year in May, and I am worried that once the warranty is up, I wont be able to afford the up keep on this car. It has really scared me and I know that the longer I keep it the less likely people will want to buy it as there will be very little warranty left.
What do you guys do as far as warranty vs. paying out of pocket? I mean warranty's on these cars are'nt exactly cheap either.

dont get scared,, headlight cornering is just hte headlights not adjusting for corners, and the fact that they said it cost $2500 is prood that dealers totally rip off mercedes for warranty repairs..
likely the replaced the entire control unit, and healight,, who knows,,
but it was overkill, and should have not cost more than $500
to fix at any mechanics shop..
I would not sell your car based on that,,
the one expensive thing you have to worry about in a forced induction car, like yours or a turbo or SC is the SC going bad on your,,
or cooling which does damage to the engine..
you can always guy an extended warranty,,
with a SC car its always a good idea,, with a NA car,, not as important.
keep the car and get extended warranty for say 3 years..
by then you will be tired of the car,, or judging by the nutty green liberal nut movement,, everyone will be driving electric POS's and so
hot rods like yours will be selling for premium and much more rare, and maybe be worth more who knows..
look at what happend to american muscle cars of the 1960/1970's
some fetch $500,000

enjoy the car,, but maintain the warranty..
