amg fitment (wheel question/sizing)

Personally, I think these wheels look amazing. I know they are knockoff and pretty cheap. But I think they look like a mix of the new e63 amg wheel and the new sl63 wheel combined:

I asked if they would clear an SL55 (obv because of the calipers) and this was his reply:

Yes the wheel is made to fit AMG fitments; 18*8.5 ET35 and 18*9.5 ET30 even though the offsets are slightly higher than factory the design of the wheel which is a flat face with no lip adjusts for the difference so clearance is perfect.

Eurotech

Anyone have experience with this company, or this wheel. Also, still in the air about an 18 or 19" setup.

858 is in SD, but I dunno who Eurotech is. i know there is a local car dealer that sells a bunch of the oEM wheels.

The front should have no issue with the calipers. The rear will rub with any tires with meat on them.

stay away from AMG rep wheels in 18s for AMG cars. i bought a set of CL63 reps for my E63 and they do not clear the AMG brakes. those CL63 reps in 19s and 20s will clear the brakes but not 18s.

So their 19" setup should be better than?

What tire size (front and back) would I want with a 19x8.5 and a 19x9.5 ?

I have SL AMG TYPE 3 wheels
the OEM setup for the SL AMG cars is

19x8.5 rim with 255 35 19 offset 25

19x9.5 rim with 285 30 19 offset 28

you can go may 5 more mm in offset but any more than 7mm and you may have problems..

hope that helps

OK great post.

Has anyone gone bigger in the rear? 295/30/19? or stay with 255/35/19 front and 285/30/19 rear?

most people (including myself) go 245-35-19 front and 275-30-19 rear. w/ the rear offset being 35 et, u may get away running 285s but forget about 295s, especially if ur lowered.

Would that be the same for an SL55?

Does that seem to give better traction than 255/285? Reason I ask is, he said the SL 19" option comes OEM with 255/285.

Edit: he just wrote back saying these are the offsets for the 19" wheel;

19*8.5 ET35 & 19*9.5 ET30

Will those work?

I have a 295/30/19 rear exact same offset. You could also go 265 in front on the 8.5" rim. I nearly did it Friday.
