X6M 550hp 4.4L TT v8... official pics

We all knew it was only time.. but this is the new direction I wish MB would take.
While any upcoming M5, M6, X6M is out of my economic means... I would not mind switching to a upcoming 550 sport with the regular v8TT as long it has the DCT trans.
As much as I like my E for the comfort , style and power.. the grass IS greener on the other side for 2009 and beyond.

Hideous...X5 is far nicer and more more practical.
Also, this seems a poor move for the M-brand...a heavy SUV, forced induction....AMG and Porsche already offer these.
M were unique for offering only four vehicles with two unique high revving NA engines that were as complex and impressive as those in ferraris and Lamborghinis...they are now entering a field which AMG already occupy....odd decision as the M brand is defined by the focus of their iconic M3 and M5...this begins the end of that

If the price point is right BMW will sell a lot of x6M's. it looks better than the stock one and the performance is hard to ignore. 4.5 to is frickin quick for a vehicle that size that's as fast as rs6 advant and porsche turbo SUV. the porsche has the best build quality but the truck is fugly and cost tooo much. the bmw will have free service and perform better. slap that engine in the 5 series and dam that's going to be hard to keep up with. the M5 will probably be in the 4.1 range and with their experience in crazy gearing it will be incredibly fast. I hope merc doesn't give up and grab their ankles. GM is on the ropes in the tenth round and i can't see them making anything unless it runs on batteries or dog ****.
