Speedometer Swap
Hello E55 owners,
I have a 2004 E55 that I'm getting ready to do some mods to. I have a rather technical question. Can 04 E55's Speedometers be swapped for 06 E55s as I know the car is capable of going well above 160, as it reads on my current speedometer? If so, what would be the best way to achieve this installation through MB dealer or private? The rev limiter would be removed...
Any advise or help would be greatly appreciated.

I was under the impression that you can swap clusters, as long as the second cluster is:
1) New, or
2) Used, but less than 2000 miles difference between the two clusters.

Once only available at the dealer, STAR services have been cropping up at private Euro shops and tuners as they have become more available. Hacked versions of varying quality are available on FleaBay.
LET has a unit, as do several members of the forum here.
