W211 E55s scheduled for production!
Hello Mercedes-Benz people,
Keil here in West Chester PA.
We have just had 2 "211" body E55s put on our production schedule. One will be built in April, the second in May. Wow! Here they come. Sounds like by June somebody can be driving one of these bad boys. Any takers?

Are you saying that you have two new E55's that are going to be your first arriving at the dealership and they are not already spoken for? If so, let me know, I would be interested.
Thanks

Will they be 2003 or 2004 model years? What is the MSRP? Will it come with/or be able to order Command/Nav? I know these are probably early questions, but inquiring minds want to know.
Thanks
Thanks

From what I have read, it will be a '04 model and Mercedes is stating (although not definite) is that the base price will be between $74-78K. I am not positive, but I believe it will not be available with COMAND/Nav.
Hope this helps.

Scheduling cars with no price is not unusual for MB.
We have had carsr built, sitting at the port with no prices yet!
I am still figuring around $80K fo the 211 E55.
I expect them to be 2004 models.
Yes we have build spots available.
As far as the Navigation: We were just told at our Sat. AM that Navigation will NOT be available for the remainder of the 2003 W211 cars. I do not know if it will be available for these E55s.

Even if the E55 is $5k more that is $74,470.
There are many many credible sources stating that the E55 will be around $74/75k. Just like I have been predicting since June 2002.

Turbo,
THanks! I know that if a car is on sale before a certain date it can't be classified as the next year. I want my E55 to be a 2004 for future resale. Since I am number one ata smaller dealer out in the country, I wanted to know before I called and moved further. I also hope your pricing is correct given the economy.

If so, and you have cars sitting at the port... why not just call over there and ask someone to look at the sticker for the price?

The window stickers are actually printed at the VPC (vehicle prep center) where the cars go when they come off of the ship. At the VPC they have the window stickers attached and then dispatched to the trucking companies for deliverry to the dealers.

These two cars just appeared on our schedule Saturday.
They are the first two to appear. Check with your dealer, Mercedes is starting to load them into netstar, hopefully yours will show up on their (VR) vehicle report this week.

I ran our allocation report today & MBZ just added 5 more E55 build dates to our allocation. We have the one car being built in March, one in April, two in May and two more in June!!!

To CME4BENZ and MarcusBenz
Do you think placing an order for a Capri blue E55 will cause me to wait since the first ones usually are silver or black? Or will I be able to change the paint code on a silver one on the build list?

CME,
I saw the options list that someone had on-line. Can you confirm the prices? Wouldn't $80k be steep when very few options are included? Is there also a charge for premium paint like Black Opal? I have heard/read that the early deliveries will be 2003's. Isn't there a date that would be too early to call a car a 2004? Thanks for all you help. If I wasn't lined up with another dealer, I would clearly talk with you.
PS. Is there any news on how many units they will bring in per year?

Additionally, MBZ can and will increase the price of the E55's with build dates in July as 2004 models.
