20" Monarch Euro 63RS - Rubbing Issues?

I just purchased a set of 20" staggered Monarch Euro 63RS wheels and Falken tires. I installed them and it seems like I'm getting some rubbing on the front tires (on top of them).

Has anybody else had this problem? If so, what can I do about it? What size tires are you guys running on the staggered (20 x 8.5 and 20 x 10) fitments? Help! Thanks...

The company where I purchased them had a size of 245/35/20 as the suggested fitment, so that's what they sent me.... Am I screwed? Do I have any options other than shipping them back and having them send me another set?

The 35 series tire is too tall as you obviously can see. I would contact them and get it fixed as you purchased the package from them based off of their tire suggestion.

Should have just ordered them from us jk

I will see what they can do.... I would've ordered from you, but there was no way you were beating their price

Thanks for the info, though. One additional question... the rubbing seems like it's occurring in the middle of the tread. If it rubs, will the groove in the middle of the tread create additional issues?

I have the same set up in the front because of the same reason. The rubbing is only bad when I turn the wheel and have the car in the Sport 2 setting. I'm going to replace the front tires with 245/30/20 sometime soon.

So... in your everyday driving, in Sport 1 for instance, it's ok? Do you know if you have a groove in your tires up front because of this? I take it that it hasn't hampered your car's drivability?

4 wheeled car.
Yeah wrong tire size. 245/30 is the size you need.

Not at all, but then these tires have less than 5k miles on them and I'll probably replace them by summertime. The only time they really rub is when I'm turning. They're cheap tires, so I don't care too much and the car drives just fine.

Ok, thanks for the heads up... I may end up replacing mine, as well. I will let it ride for the time being. Just goes to show you that not all tire/wheel companies are equal (some don't have the right information!)

I have the same rims and i had 245/35/20's
they rubbed when i turned into driveways.
i swapped them out for 30's
and now it rides perfectly.
better change your tires quick before you screw up a fender.
my wife turned into the bank parking lot and it rubbed pretty bad
bend the fender a little bit.
got it fixed not to long ago

How long were you riding with the 245/35/20's before you had them replaced?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they are rubbing on the bolt that hangs down an inch or so (I think from the front strut housing). If you remove your front wheel/tire, you'll see what I'm talking about (since I don't know exactly what it's called.) That's my best guess....

Yeah, I like the matte black version, too, but they won't have 'em in 20's until the first or second week of May. I didn't feel like waiting....

I plan on posting pics soon.

ya i know what bolt you are talking about , which i think is a different place then where Lady_Amg is rubbing. i was told that a 245/35/20 will fit on on a 2007+ W211. I would def change those out right away you dont wana pop a tire.

See, that's the thing, there are a lot of wheel shops online that show that a 245/35/20 will fit on a 2003-2006 W211, as well. I just can't believe that many people/dealers have it wrong, but it appears they do....

I don't think the tire will pop, because the bolt extends maybe 2-3 mm into the tread of the tire (maybe) , but the sound is kinda annoying at low speeds....

Go with the 30s up front if your lowered. My buddy had an aggressive setup up front and bent his fender. Now he is on 30s and its fine.

Logic might have a matte black set sooner then that.

I am debating on whether or not to leave it alone and see if it bothers me enough to swap out the front tires for 30-series....

Next time you're removing your front wheel, take a pic of that bolt

I have 245/30/20s and still rubbing when turning (either at higher speed or low speed with a bump), my car is slammed though.

So, is it inherently dangerous for me to continue running the 245/35/20's up front with the rubbing issues?

Go back and tell that brain surgeon you want 30s or your going to smash that 35 series over his head. Let thericker know if you need some extra muscle.
