hello, new here! Just got word my new E55
will be here in mid Feb. so can't wait to get it.
Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm on all the BMW/Audi/Lexus boards since I also own those make cars.
I also have a small shop in the bay area that does work on euro cars - mainly E46 M3's and Audi S4's but if any of you need suspension or intricate electronic work done, drop me an e-mail or AIM me!

smells fishy
S4play -- Why is it that you just posted on the Roadfly M5 board that you were deciding between an E55 and an M5 and now...suddenly, you are getting a new E55 in mid-February when most dealers are just ordering cars for the first few on their long lists of waiters?
Is it a VIP car...
How much is the base cost? What is the color and options?
Thanks.

Simple: Cuz I plan ahead and had this
deposit for about 6 months already. I'm on very good terms with this dealer and thus he gives me first dibs on any new car I want.
Since I've bought numerous cars and hooked them up with major clientele, that is the least they can do for me.
I wasn't sure about the M5 but after seeing the redesign, I think the E55 is a better choice.
Even if I don't want the E55, I will take delivery and sell it to a new buyer quite easily.

Well that's cool. What color and what are the options? If it is delivering in mid-February, it's already built. And what was the price?
Where did you see the redesign of the M5? I thought it was coming out this fall.

I'm calling the dealer later today so will let
everyone know how the order status and delivery is going....
I luv my M3 so really hard to decide if I want to keep it. No matter how fast the E55 is, I think it won't have the "fun" factor of an M3. But still wondering how to convince my g/f I can keep it. She will like the E55 since she can drive it...haha

If you want to keep her from driving the new E55 pretend the only way to drive it is to use the steering wheel mounted shift paddles to change gears. Take her on a hurky-jerky ride using only the paddles and she will not want to drive it nor your M3.

haha, well this g/f = future wife so.....
Just want to get her opinion. She is one of the most supportive girls I know and she is active in helping me do my websites and all my car show banners (she is a graphic designer)
Anyways, she has a Beetle and luvs how cute it is. I want her to get into something faster and since this new E55 has about 5 times the power of her Beetle, I bet she will be itching to at least try it a few times.
Plus a car is a only a car right?
late,
