Picked up 40rwhp with LET Tune !!!
When I took my car to the same dyno dynamics shop 4 months ago I put down 446 whp and 545 wtq. 1 day later I ran 11.11@126.2 and a 11.41@126.7 at MIR.
Well today within 30 minutes I had picked up 40whp for $800!!! That is the cheapest HP I think I ever bought for this car.
I put down 486whp and 565 wtq again on the same dyno dynamics. Several other cars with pullies and other sw were putting down 360-390 whp. Most cars picked up 30whp and it was under the entire curve - not just peaky power.
Anyone thinking about going with the LET tune I highly recommend it. Wayne is one cool cat and I learned alot more about the car just talking to him. He really knows his stuff.

VRP cams, VRP 80mm gen I TB, No cats, Evosport headers, ASP pulley, Evosport cooling kit, K&Ns, cut-outs, LET custom tune, -10C mod, and 160 t-stat .....I could use the LET torque converter and the TCU flash. A lot of my mods were from 2003-2004 purchases so a lot have been improved like the long tube headers, Code 3, etc. I hope to make a high 10 second pass this season.

Congrats! It was great meeting you today. I would also like to point out that the outside temp today was 90ish vs 4 months ago was probably 40ish.
My car drove so much nicer on the way home. I can't wait to start modding the hell out of this thing. Just have to find time between my full time hooby and working

One of the best parts of my job is getting to meet such great people. It was truly a pleasure working on everyone's car today. Thanks to David Shiroma of Function:tuned for being such a gracious host, as well as everyone I had the pleasure of hanging out with.

2001: Supercharged E55 AMG
I don't get it, 126 Mph in a W211 with 446 WHP, and Hooleyboy "only" made 117 Mph in a lighter C55 with 450 WHP
Something fishy is going on. I think this E55 made more power in that 126 MPH run ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Anyhow, congrats on the extra 40 Whp

The dyno he used is different in its setup and reads lower
+ no need to look at dyno...his track run is more then enough to show that his car is packing some serious top end speed

Congrats on the tune !
let us knwo how it does with every day driving and serious triple number speeds
Thanks

His car will make 510-530 whp on a dynojet easily

The main reason I got this tune was because I was running Kleeman s/w from 2004 when my car just had cut outs, pulley and headers. It was time to update the s/w bigtime.

The dyno dynamics dyno reads perhaps 15% lower than a dyno jet. So 486 converts to 571 whp, if its 10% lower that is still 540 whp. Add the negative DA at MIR - worth about 30whp and I was making somewhere between 570-600whp enough to take a 4300lb car with me in it trapping 126.6mph with only 15psi in the rear tires.

This is why you don't judge how fast a car is based on PEAK dyno numbers or even dyno numbers at all. I made 407whp and 465wtq on that same dyno a while ago and trapped 127. My car is alot lighter than E55baller's car. Now I made 25more whp in 90+ degree weather but ran out of fueling (Injector duty cycle nearing 100% and we didn't want to risk static condition) so there is more to gain
My goal this winter is 10.5x @ 13x on pump and no nitrous

I goto Funktion Auto for all my work about 2 miles away from Function Tuned in Sterling or Dulles, VA. The owner is Walid.
When you walk in you see a half million dollar lambo and a $600K ferrari and other cars on sale. The garage is spot less. The techs are extremely knowledgable and Walid has owned an E55. They use a fabrication shop next door (Piper Motorsports) for any custom work.

Thanks, was great meeting up with you as well. Your car is going to be an absolute monster! I'm sure it will go tens very soon> Try my CCW's next time at the track, they will HOOK! I'm looking to get bosch p/n off 55k injectors and SLR injectors. I've been doing alot of research today and hopefully will get all the bugs worked out by the next time LET comes down. I would be very happy with another 30whp gain but the main thing I want is for it to run safely. With another 30whp gain I'm pretty confident the car would run sub 10.5's in good DA.

486rwhp is ridiculous on a dyno dynamics. Stock 65 makes 450-460 on a dyno dynamics, for comparison. Stock 55 will make between 370 and 400rwhp.
Congrats.
