My personal opinion is that we don't have much to worry about. Honoring these and new car warranties are an intrinsic part of maintaining the brand as a going concern post-bankruptcy.

yes your a creditor,, like last on the list,, the bond holders , stock investors, and material parts suppliers are way ahead of you and there is no money left after them, there is a creditor order. and your last in line
the new cars sold after the BK will likely get a Gov't backed warranty
in order to help move them, and resolve the new company..
but if I were you I would buy a 3rd party warranty fast before they find out lol
