Belt slipping/chirping noise?
Lately I've noticed when my car shifts into second I get a chirping noise, almost like the belts slipping or something. The car just hit 30,000, and I read that the S/C belt is suppose to be changed at this mileage. I went to dealer and bought a belt and changed it, but it still does it. Any ideas?

Good idea to complain about "rough engagement" also, then they might change and cover under warranty. Really depends on the dealership.

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
MB now says....
that the updated tensioner does not fix it, long term. Last time I tried to get it done, they wouldn't do it. They've probably changed their minds again by now.

Can someone help me with the part number for the 06 Sl55
Hazim[/QUOTE]
Part # is - A 113 090 00 44. It is actually a kit and it's like $850. PM Mr. Brenton for a better deal. They ended up replacing the "compressor clutch bearings" part #'s 113-090-00-44, 113-098-00-40 described as "couplings". They had my car for a week, but it was under warranty and they gave me a loaner so I didn't really care.

I have the ELW through Mercedes-Benz on my 04 E55. They are saying that they won't cover the SC Clutch under warranty.
Has anyone had theirs replaced under the extended warranty period?

Being a MB salesman who is supposed to be selling the ELW to my customers every day, i am more than a little displeased that they are giving me grief over this.
Anyone else have theirs replaced under ELW?
