2005 e55 amg
Rear LED's blown?

Hey guys. I noted last night a row of 4 LEDS from the boot lid brake light have blown. I dont want to wait until service in 7000km's - is this an easy fix?

tnx in advance for any help.

I have never heard of a LCD blowing, those bulbs should outlast the car..
Fair go mate...someone will have a clue I am sure..

i have seen that before, you have to replace the whole light cluster

Is there one cluster for the whole bootlid light or is it in parts?

hmm well they better do it under w'tee, I dont want to think how much $$ it would be to replace it. I thought LED's were supposed to last ages...

I had the same issue. Dealer replaced light under warranty.

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
In the past, my third brake light had a few lights missing, so I bought an entire new assembly and popped it in myself.....

How much did you pay for that? I have couple bulbs that burned.

part # 211-820-14-56 retail $185.00 and it's fairly to do..just unscrew couple of the screws in the trunk lid (from the inside/must remove the cover) and pop the light out...
