Any AMG owners in Utah?
Again, sorry to post this in the wrong forum, but aside from the LeMans and the superbike racing, there isn't much going on around here.
Cheers,
-Wes

I am in SLC area and know of a few others around. I am a fairly new AMG owner and have only met Jakpro1 and we talked about getting a meet together this summer.
He'll probably chime in on your thread, he's a great guy!
Did you happen to go to the Lemans race this past weekend, might satisfy your craving for speed.

Thanks! If he doesn't chime in within the next few days, I'll shoot him a PM.

I've always wanted to get the guys together for some type of meet but not really sure how to get it going.
We actually had the worlds most powerful SL65 up here (well it was in CA) but not sure if she is still here.
We got at least one SLR running around and Love2SkiUtah has a SICK S65 Renntech. Best story coming out of UT is the "crazy SLR guy", what I call him anyway. He bought an ML63 and took it right out past Toole first thing (super flat and can really open it up) and he got arrested doing 153mph in a 75. Off to jail crazy SLR guy went. Out instantly of course but what a day that must have been.
Utah basically is a more of a Mountain Man kinda state. If you don't like hiking, biking and outdoors kinda stuff, it can be rough here. Take it from a New Yorker stuck here.

I had a shop in downtown SLC, lived in Sandy and worked in Draper from 02-06...

The buck doe ratio has to be one of the best anywhere...and all the pent up frustration from overbearing strict parents really results in some wild women around the 18-21 age. Unfortunately much past that they are either married, divorced and have 2-3 children and are covered in ink and piercings, and/or outcast from the village.
80 West is a great place to open up anything...I took a few bikes up well over 170mph (not GPS verified...but redline/topgear on an r6, R1, CBR F4i, etc..) as well as a few other toys. The cross wind off the lake can be a nightmare but be ready for it-especially going around 18 wheelers.
At the end of the road, probably an easy hour at speed from you, is the MUCH needed break in Wendover. A couple of ****ty casinos, a decent poker room, and a "real" strip club...along with everything else Vegas has to offer on a smaller scale. *LOTS* of neon.

Best King Crab I've ever had..unfortunately it's been a couple of years and restaurants can go to s#it overnight.
Seriously if you're there for a while pick up a cheap street legal sport bike, do a few track days at Miller and be SURE you take a ride in a couple of the Canyons...it's gorgeous this time of year.
Would be a trip to see it now, I pretty much completely dismantled that car...
