HELP! Any way on earth to get these @*#%@ wheels to fit???

So I picked up a set of Stern ST-5s and was assured they would fit. They fit E55 AMGs fine, they said! Might need to remove the grease cap or use a small spacer, but they'll fit!

HA

So I went over to the tireshop today and they said there's no way these will fit. They showed me where it's hitting on the caliper, and it's ridiculous. Check out the pics.

That line is where the wheel is rubbing against the caliper.

Is there any possible way I can make these work? Or am I out all the shipping, both ways, because of this bull#@!%?

There's no way a spacer would work... I'd need like, 6 inches worth of a spacer.

Bummer. Spacers can sometimes help if the barrel is tapered but that barrel looks pretty square across.

Get smaller brakes, otherwise like stuffing a square inside a circle

c'mon Josh you can be more creative than that! I guess you drag racers don't need your brakes...

How about he just grinds down the insides of the wheel?

Sorry man... those wheels won't fit...

yeah. back to searching again. If I would have gone with 20s, they'd fit. 19s MIGHT fit. I don't want to sacrifice ride quality, though. meh.

back to the neverending search for gunmetal wheels with a polished lip! If I could find any black/polished lip wheels that looked good on Tectite Gray, I might get those.
