These wheels are hella expensive from the dealer. I wanna say like $3400.00 PER WHEEL! Or something insane like that. Teolax's price is insane in the membrane.
I also have a set of these. Riding on them right now, as a matter of fact, since I'm selling my VIPs in the classifieds.

I ended up selling mine for about $1,900 with tires picked up. I really just wanted to get out what I bought them for so I didn't put much thought into pricing them plus it was hard to get comps since you rarely if ever see them for sale.

Defiintely insanely expensive at the dealer, but those wheels are one of my least favorite styles of the AMG multipiece wheels. The design just doesn't work for me. The 19" one-piece five-spokes (CLS55 style; also available for SL55) are a much cleaner execution of the five spoke design than these, multi-piece or not.
I just wish AMG wheels weren't so heavy - frickin' corner anchors. The split spoke multi-piece 19's (e.g. "030" wheels for CLS55) are the heaviest 19" wheels I've ever owned, and literally put my previous "pig weight wheel" champions, a 19" set of Hartge Classic wheels for a former BMW I owned, to shame.

humm!!!!!! Here is the question , as being a 2 piece wheel , will it come apart by unbolting the bolts ? As i was thinking about painting the spokes gunmetal .

I'm not sure why these wheels don't sell quickly even at a low price as $1900? I've seen a couple of sets sell here and one on e-bay and they both took forever to sell. They're actually very nicely built wheels, but I'm guessing not many like them

My guess is they trade where they trade b/c i) to me they look pretty similar to the stock wheels and ii) use pricing ends up being in-line with clean used premium mfg aftermarket wheels ($500 / wheel for used ones and you're probably getting 19" wheels to boot).

Any ideas about the advantage to these two piece rims aside from looks? I know they are not lighter than the one piece but should they be stronger?

Thinking about selling the wheels . they are fitted with !!
2 18x8.5 38MM FRONT
2 18x9.5 44MM REAR
18-inch 5-spoke multipiece(Less rotational mass improves performance and response) AMG alloy wheels:
front wheels size 8.5 x 18 with 245/40 R 18 tires, rear wheels size 9.5 x 18 with 285/35 R 18 tires
FRONT MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 85% 245/40/18
REAR MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 85% 285/35/18
NOTE: NOT PS2
$2000 + $200 SHIPPING
Yes the rear tires are285/35/18 don't ask . Tires are really better than 85% but I'm leaving at that just to be safe . I also will be ready to sell them with in 1 week so if you are interested PM me and I'll reply each member when I'm ready .
Thanks

They are heavier than the 1 piece ones, so no added value there. performancewise, having a 9.5 in the rear helps vs the 9" that comes on the E63. Other than that, not much advantage. the fronts are same size, so I could see why noone would pay so much regardless of how rare.

I have heard 5lbs. Not sure if that is fact. the rears, probably so since they are wider.
In a similar way, the SL65 2 piece rims are a solid 5lbs heavier than comparable counterparts.
Even in the racing world, more pieces usually are heavier, unless you go composites. If all of it is made of the same metal / materials, then a solid piece is lighter than all of the added hardware and structural support in the design. In the good old days, the advantage was that you could replace just one piece when damage occurs. I do not believe these wheels are composites or forged.

Agreed. I didn't like my stock E63 wheels, hate rivets so these were not an option. Ended up putting 09 version SL550 19 AMG five spokes. Now if a clean set of HREM40's in matte black pop up.. What is it with my obsession for the perfect look wheels anyway?? I have never been so torn on any other car i've owned.
