Kleemann headers and smog in CA

Kleemann headers and smog in CA
I am thinking of ordering some Kleemann headers because they are so cheap now but I am worried about smog here in CA. I know it deletes the primary CAT which I was just going to add 200 or 300 cell CATs to replace them. With the CATs I am sure it will pass the test but some people have told me it will not pass the visual test. Does anyone here have Kleemann headers or other headers that deleted the CATs on their car? Have you been able to pass smog tests?!

I don't think the visual test is such a big issue in CA, as long you pass the smog test that
all it matter. I have seen people had headers on their car and never had an issue at all..

. So I had to go to a specific place where did a full visual huge waste of time! I just dont want to get the headers and have problems later seems like every mod I add I run into some sort of issue!

Are you asking about his PM to me? Or are you implying that this is a useless thread? If your asking about the PM he told me that he was running Random Tech CATs and that he has had no problem getting it smoged. He has had that setup for years and has not had problems so I think that I will go ahead and purchase the headers you cant beat Kleemann headers for near$1000!

Another thing you can do is talk to anyone with a ricer. Try a car wash or at the track. They're pretty cool about sharing information and usually know some places that will hook you up with a Pass. You might have to show them what's under the hood in case they think you're out to bust their shop. It sucks here in the Republik of Kalifornia.

What also works is just ask the smog tech before hand if he'll pass you. Tell him what you have and ask him if it'll pass. If he says no, then go somewhere else.

Thanks for all your replies I think I will be making the order tomorrow for the headers when its time to get the car smoged I am sure I will figure something out!
