Dyno results

took my car down to get dynoed before I get my LT's, race cats, VRP air box and custom tune , and maybe a 180mm pulley if i get mine sold. I went down to Dyno-comp it was 98 degrees out so it was pretty hot for a dyno run but i just wanted to see what my car has. So any ways my car has a Renntech stage I package with a floored Fab. HE with 20" wheels. I put down 440rwhp and 530rwtq on a Dyno Dynamics. is that on par for my mods and wheels? thanks

I was with my fabricator all day today. I was on my way to Dyno-Comp and then said my time would be better spent working on my headers so I turned around. I just spoke with Rich, He said your car was nice and strong.

Those numbers a pretty good! I would be happy...

I bet you could hit 480ish, maybe at most! I guess it depends on the tune + dyno + weather etc.....

I am ready to find out...When are you doing the mods?

.

A stage one with cooling putting down 440 is good? Is that because of the dyno dynamics? I'm used to baselines at 410, so curious.

RENNTechE55,

440rwhp is a good, strong number for a Stage 1 E55 on a Dyno Dynamics.

Thanks Marcus , its weird the guy before me did the Stage 1 on the car I think like almost two years ago and dynoed it on the same dyno and he only got like 402rwhp and the only differences were he did NOT have 20's the HE or res delete.

I just got unusually high numbers on my dyno dynamics run also. Could you get a track run in or is to hot there in Arizona?

Its way to hot right now and still have not gotten DR's yet. The first time I ever drag raced was around Feb. and got a 12.1 with stock 18" wheels and no HE or Res. delete.

You guys have it pretty tough there in Arizona. We'll be looking forward to see what the beast will run. Congrats on the great numbers!

402rwhp is weak for a modified car, and he was definitely suffering a lot more in the heat without the heat exchanger (who does Stage 1 in Arizona heat without a heat exchanger????).

380-400rwhp is about the range for a stock E55. I did just over 400rwhp when stock, and mid 430s @ Stage 1 - all on Dyno Dynamics.

its all in the car. Some E55's put down 380-390whp on this dyno. Then My Brothers CLS55 put down 430whp bone stock. I've been noticing alot of 55k's having rather different dyno numbers in the past year.

Do you honestly think that our 55's could vary that much in HP #'s? I'm still a little confused by my numbers on DD.

I know, its crazy how some people think. Cooling is a must out hear or anywhere for that matter. My car runs far less boost then you 55K guys and I have 2 heat exchangers and an independently ran IC system. Its money well spent out here on cooling mods, Not to mention if you shop around they are rather affordable.

My brothers CLS55 was right off the dealer lot and taken to Dyno-Comp for a few pulls. Ken from Renntech was running the dyno and on the first pull it put down 430whp and like 450wtq I was like. Ken check your settings thats way to high. So Ken checked them and it was all good. We pulled the ECU out and send it over to Renntech to be read. It turned out to be the latest update of MBZ software. His car was running fat too; somewhere in the 10's. I like my A/F to be in the 12's

The very next day an SL55 came in and put down 380whp.

I really think some of these 55k's in cars like the CLS55 are rated more around 500hp rather than 469hp. I feel a hand build motor will always have an opportunity to out preform another of the same type... We joke around that some motors are build on a Friday and others on a Monday.

Thanks Mike.

What kind of settings could manipulate numbers and by how much? I'm really trying to learn more about this kind of stuff.

You mention that you like your A/F in the 12's? Is that with 91 octane and are you talking about mid or high 12's? Just curious.

I new this question was coming lol. I will find out from the horses mouth tomorrow. I just know to ask if the setting are correct I'm not 100% sure what that entails though. I been offered to learn how to use the dyno but I pass on it out of fear that Dyno runs when I'm at the shop could get pawned off to me.

91oct I personaly like my A/F in the 12's closer to redline. Its very common for them to be in the 14-13 range when the pull starts and then the A/F drops down as the car starts to fuel. If its in the 11's thats OK too. I like to think fat is safe. It way better then being lean.

These 55s are just f'd up, period. I also pulled a 424rwhp when I was bone stock after we let the car sit overnight and pulled her onto the dyno in the morning. I don't quote that number because I think it's unrealistic... so I use the numbers we pulled the night before which were in the 400-410rwhp range. These things are really strange man, and they can be all over the place.
