Anyone ever mess with your car?

So I just came out of the library to find someone conveniently ripped off my windshield wipers for me I don't get why people see the reason to mess with someone elses property. It's not like I was parked like an ******* or something. Oh well, I guess it could have been worse. Have any of you had similar experiences?

You're pretty reserved about the situation. Much more so than I'd be. I'd be ready to f#$% someone up! Sorry to hear about that.

No one was around when I got to the car, so who knows when they did it. I WISH I could have caught them red handed. There was a nice curb right in front of the beast...

Trust me I was pretty furious when I got to the car. But honestly, it's not something fretting over because I won't catch the a$$hole. I'll let karma do the work

I got keyed about a year after I got the car. It was at some party, and most of the attendees were my friends, so I was shocked to see that it happened. I don't remember being that mad in a long time. It was one of the most infuriating things I've ever experienced. Such a low blow. Pathetic, really.

NO not yet, but I am getting nasty looks from poor people everywhere now, more than ever. Like it's a bad thing we drive AMGs during a crisis.

A friend of mine works in Dubai and says things are pretty cool there. Clean and no crime. I guess Abu Dhabi is the same, too. Yeah, the UAE seems like a lot better place than the KSA.....

A neighbor of mine had a friend park his s550 overnight in the guest parking while he went to a club. The next morning his car was on bricks & too add insult to injury they keyed his from one side to the other. I found it hard to believe that the first time he came over he had his wheels stolen.

Check with the Library to see if they have security cameras on the parking lot. You may just get lucky enough to catch the punk (or the chick you keep ignoring). That sucks.

I get dirty looks from lots of people, including retard rednecks that paid twice as much for their F-250 Superduty as I paid for the E55. Some people just have no concept of depreciation and value. Everyone I know thought I was some kind of big baller, not realizing that I paid less for my car than they did for their new Chevy Equinox or V6 Accord. If I had a brand-new E63 that would be one thing, but it's a 5 year old car with 65K on it. Apparantly the star on the hood means you're a rich a$$&ole, and people refuse to believe otherwise.

Dude, you will get that just driving an MB period.

My wife and I have gotten some nasty looks here are there, and some weird comments from some family and friends (so-called friends she has).

One of her girlfriends made the comment yesterday: "I didn't invite you to lunch because I thought you don't eat at all you can eat places." Like my wife is too good to do that?

2nd girlfriend stupid comment: "Oh you guys have 3 benzes, you don't understand the issues I have." "You have a two income household".

I think my wife needs to drop those two friends, but she still maintains contact.

WTH? What is wrong with people these days? Why are people so caught on talking about someone else, or messing with someone else's property? I am far too busy taking care of my own issues and stuff to even think about such petty things.

I don't hate, I congratulate.

I get the same kind of looks now and then. I think the gunsight emblem is at fault for making people think you're a rich a$$%ole. It sucks cause I bought the car cause I wanted it for the power under the hood, not the power of sight. This country needs a reality check!!!

These experiences make a strong argument for doing a de-badging combined with a flat hood ornament. Will make the car much more incognito and harder to recognize as quickly. And the car look like a more plebeian version Benz if recgognized at all.

Thank god I already have the flat emblem or else I'm pretty sure the gun-sight ornament would have been "borrowed" as well
