Got to race a Black series tonight!

Amazing opportunity tonight, I was driving back home down a 4 lane highway tonight just cruising, driving kinda slow, car are passing me on the left when all of sudden I see 6.3 badges roll past! I jumped on it to catch up and pace him for a couple second just to see if he's interested or not, Sure enough he rolls down the window and has a grin on his face.(I'm so stoked!) I flash up 3 fingers to indicate to go on the 3rd honk and as soon as I do that he punches it, So he gets the jump by about a fender(were at about 50 mph) by 80ish I've closed the gap and we let off around 130 were I had about a car length on him. We stopped and talked a few miles up the road, a real nice guy with a European ascent. He said he sent the car to hennessey for some minor upgrades(I thought they just did vipers?) I told him that I had a asp pulley and kn filters with some cooling mods. It just made for an amazing night I'm not sure if he post here or not but if you do Thanks!

Or very naive when it comes to MB. I've heard all sorts of horror stories with Hennessey. That's probably why you got a car length on him?

Interesting results. I seriously doubt Hennessey did any performance mods...

you do know that a pulley can actuly give you less performance if you do not have a tune yes?

might want to dyno to make sure

probably started in a gear too high for the speed.

I'm very impressed for a car without ECU tuning.

I had the same set up (pulley and no ECU) with a bigger HE and upgraded pump. Before and after dynos showed that I was missing 80 RWHP with the ECU tuning by LET.

I think you might have an older ECU file and your car was not flashed with the 2nd air pump relay update.

Usually a pulley only E55 yields no power or worst than stock.

I would agree with that, My car did not feel like it pick up much power, A bit more torque, I thought it was funny that my butt dyno said that air filter made more HP than the pulley, lol
I'm guessing it has to do with map sensor reading a too high boost level and it pulls timing and adds fuel. I'm going to head back to the dragstrip soon to see if there were anychanges in perf.
