How is the intercooler attached to the cooling system?

How is the intercooler attached to the cooling system?
The IC pump pushes coolant through a closed system correct?
The Coolant recovery tank and the radiator are not attached to the intercooler in any way?
I am going to change my IC pump. How do I re-fill the system if I spill some coolant during the change?
Seems to me people in warm states should use waterwetter and water alone in the system.

from the resovior on the right side ( driver side ) where it is written on the cap, coolant water, it has the same water ( sharing )
but bleede it by romving the cover out of the nipple ( left to the S/C pully ) untill water is coming out while the engine is runing.
you may need to do the bleeding again after a day or two.

Yes they are. Most here separate them by adding a new reservoir and re-routing. I got the upgraded pump and an added HE, but somehow didn't get the separate reservoir that I was charged for.

If the coolant is shared then why do we have to bleed the system when installing a new IC pump? Why won't the air find it's way to the reservoir? Is there a two way value or something?

i would do it both ways. the reservoir cap open way and the way mentioned in the pdf doc that i sent you.

Apparently, there are spots in the Sc lines that form air pockets that may not be inline with the flow (which is scary in itself). That is why I hear of folks re-bleeding even after the dealer has done a flush and bleed. If so, I wonder if a mod is not in order to open up those "blind" spots. Wouldn't that also help with heat conduction?
