Congrats on the sweet new ride!!
It seems like the GT-R has displaced the 911TT as the favorite car AMG drivers gravitate to when looking for something more sporty. But in Rock's case it is probably a side effect of his rare medical condition.... Vic-envy....![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)

Beautiful car & some awesome mods...can't wait to see more pics.
I visited the local Nissan dealership this past weekend, and they're sporting a nice $20K over sticker price on their white GTR on the showroom floor. $100k+ asking price. For some reason that seems a bit high.
BTW Vic...for the COBB tuning, I notice they require 93-octane fuel only. As we know, our crap 91 California fuel isn't quite 93. Do you run race gas exclusively, or an octane booster...how exactly do you run the COBB stage1 or 2 tuning on 91 octane Cali fuel? Thanks for the info.

As for the Cobb, they all come with a 91 oct tune for a stock car (stage I) and a modded car (intake, catback) (Stage II). Its preloaded into the handheld.

Oh Rock sweet Po Po story too---- since you are running a stock tune and I cant remotely remember my E55 or my stock GT-R's abilities, tell us what you think about the E55 (yours) vs. the GT-R. Maybe from a dig and roll?

congrats on the GTR..
Over the weekend I spent about an hour just "youtube"ing the GTR against the ZR1,Z06, 997 TT, CL65 and bunch of other cars in Russia. Just amazing!
Also the hate these cars get on youtube is incredible. I don't understand why mostly american brand drivers really put the torch to this car.
In stock form is plenty fast... but in Stage 2 mode, its a beast.
enjoy.. and post some dyno's after the COBB and DP.

This is beyond funny now...
Yes I got the old lady a IS-F...last Friday. Great car for the price with some good features and a pretty cool exhaust note. Is it as fast as my stable below... no way but the car moves and has some amazing shift speeds. The 8 speeds are weird, a little overkill IMO but one can get use to it. Overall, I like it and the white on black looks great with the dark gun metal rims.
Vicenvy FTW!!

I hear you on the hate--- go check out 6speedonline in the GTR forum no less- super haters. The mods have to break up fights between Pcar, Vette owners etc that come in there and beat up. I dont care and Ive always appreciated your unbiased opinion on the car as well.

Get the fiancee the IS-F its a great better half car that you can toss around too. It handles great for a sedan... really planted IMO.

Sure in the quarter but not in a roll- not a good chance (given conditions are equal)... The M6 has over 500 hp, similar weight (not sure here) and less parasitic loss (gearbox is a manny).
