Car feels slow: do numbers disagree?
Hadn't been in the beast for a while, been busy making ugly commutes that i wouldn't subject her to. Usually after a two week break, the car feels CRAZY fast. Mind you the contrast is with my commuter lane beater, a CNG powered Crown Victoria, so you'd expect to be blown away getting back in the torquemonster.
But it almost feels the way it did when the S/C pump was failing. Could all be in my head, traffic hadn't allowed enough open road. So yesterday I fired up Dynolicious on my iPhone, went to a remote frontage road and did some 0-60 focused runs (from a dig) to get some objective data.
I was running a full tank and loaded trunk, and the road was pretty bad (rutted, rough, an occasional patch of loose gravel). I felt weak on launch, trouble controlling wheel spin. Nevertheless, I turned consistent 4.5-4.7 0-60 times.
Should I be disappointed? With Renntech pulley and ECM, fresh PS2's, should I be in the low 4's instead? Or is this good for a sub-par road and a half-dozen runs under 4.7 (despite heat soak). I dare not run the 1/4 on this road. Not enough room, not safe enough.
Cop paranoia kept me from really dialing things in, messing with settings, shutting off T/C, etc. I wanted to make a half dozen runs and leave the rarely traveled road with no intersections asap.
Let me know if I need to get her back on the Dyno and look into more mods (TCU/Cooling/etc), or if I'm where I ought to be all told.
Sorry for the long rant!

Ali,
Have you used a Gtech similar performance meter, or better still gone to the track since you felt this decrease? Have you had your S/C pump replaced? If not that's a first step and primary culprit.
But what is normal 0-60 time for real world conditions, less than optimal, on a 85 degree day?
Thanks,
Skeeter

I replaced the pump to the new onw, the S/C doesn't shut off
I know how it feels because I had it before
But even after tuning, I don't feel it is a WOW tuning
All checkings are good
Did my last service and there is no problem showing
How can I test my s/c pressure ?
Should I return it back to the tuner !
I can't imagne an E63 beating me while my car is tunned

Don't let those 0-60 times get you too worked up. There's too many factors involved with high torque, non-AWD cars. I've run a best 4.5 seconds stock (easing onto throttle), and a worst in 6.6 (mashing throttle w/ESP on) just minutes apart. Even with only the stock amount of torque, traction will always be an issue. A better test would be something like a 30-100mph run but being near Berkeley myself I don't think there's many roads where you can try that.

Ali_e55 you can measure your boost via an obdii scanner and look for the MAP reading. You may have to convert it into psi.
CCW you are right about s/c cars feeling slow in this heat. These days I don't even get on the gas due to ambient temps being in the 90 to 100.
After iats hit 140 timing is pulled by 9 degrees every degree pull in timing represents a 8-9 hp in lost power.

u know how it is middle east
so do u say it is because of the heat ?!
could it be that dealer reflashed my ECU !!

to see if the dealer has re flashed your ecu, hook the car up to STAR and look at the ecu re flash table, it will tell you if and when the ecu was altered.
