Ricker, do you mind me asking what the price on the 5/70K warranty was? I also believe in purchasing the extra warranties and always have on my other cars. One repair bill usually pays for the warranty cost, often 3-times over on the first claim.
I also know that stealerships typically make big profits off of these warranties, so mark-up can be substantial. That's why I'm asking the price for comparison purposes.
But the free rental stays w/you till it's completed in my case about 10 days, on average about 7-10 days, I'm fine w/it I have other cars plus a Camry to beat the living snot outt've every chance I get

If you add in typical rental rate @ $35 a day x 10 days = $350 + $7,500 I'm certain they have some incidentals to bring tot to $8,000.00 it's already paid for itself nearly 4 times over @ 1.7 yrs of ownership
Very cool to know, thanks for posting your experience...it'll weigh heavily on my mind when it comes time to buy my warranty. Cheers.

No to the above, the warranty company pays the bill with a auth. number and credit card. You walk out ONLY paying $100 Ded., not a cent more. Rental car and all.. No fronting money.

The dealer ran my card and held the charge open until Chrysler paid which was 2 days. (That was in the good old days of easy credit for companies that were functionally bankrupt but still operating.)
I paid 2.7k for the warranty, received well over 5k in benefits (11 months) and then received a refund of $1,300 when I canceled.
Imagine what would have happened if it was ANOTHER company. The results would have been completely different.
YOU: Hi Mr. SA, what's the status?
SA: We're still waiting for ABC Warranty to respond.
YOU: Hi Mr. SA, what's the status?
SA: ABC Warranty said that they're going to send down an inspector
sometime tomorrow.
INSP: Woah! This black SL has tinted windows and aftermarket rims!
That's a red-flag for a "modified" car.
SA: Sorry, ABC Warranty wouldn't cover your car. They placed a big
"DENIED" stamp on the service-order once they saw your car.
YOU: I wished I have gotten the Chrysler Warranty.
Jon
What I should've made clearer was, it does take a few days maybe 5-6 to clear & MB gets money from Warranty co. then they fix your car etc... The other option if you want/need it fixed ASAP instead of 7-10 day total (on big jobs like mine) you have the OPTION to pay-up front then get REIMBURSED DIRECTLY from Chrysler about 6-8 wks later.
I obviously opted to wait the additional few days extra w/free rental...

PS...Spoke with tuner shop, they said they should be able to get that spoiler off in one piece. I'll PM you upon final confirmation from them.
