I finnished my exhaust yesterday! I have a good friend that owns a exhaust shop that was kind enough to help me out with 2 long days of building a new set up. It consists of stock manifolds to the stock primary cats to 3 inch mild steel, some crush bends were the angels are minor and a cuple of manderals bends were its a bit more severe of an agel, back to a set of magnaflows, they are 3' in and dual 2.5 out. then a dual tips. I really wanted to use the stock tips but the amout of time and work to cut off the stock 2 inch pipe and weld up and fit new pipe was just not worth it. The magnaflows are a stright through design and sound amazing, very deep with an exotic wide open sound. best of all a new triangel light flashs on the dash where none was before, I thinks its a fun meter of sorts, the more it flashs the more fun your having.

Im looking at doing pretty much the same custom set up so am super keen to hear it. If you can do a clip of driving from inside the car that would be great as well

very nice and good choice. I have a similar setup and I opted for the Magnaflow Magnapacks outback.

Magnaflows make great power and sound insane on our cars...

Here is the link, I'll try and get some inside video as well, My engine sounds noisy in the clip but its really not outside of the garage. Inside exhaust noise is resonable at light throttle with very little drone.The tips are not my tip of choice but at 4 in the morning trying to find 4 matching tips is not so easy. Might change it later??

OP - if you could find the time to run a quick sound vid from inside the car driving - even if you leave the lens closed and just do it for the sound, that would be much appreciated as I am about to pull the trigger on this sort of set up. cheers

That is a great sound and there is no doubt you are experiencing a significant gain in hp and torque espeically in the rpm band that most of us drive 2000-5000rpm, improvements like this are amazing. I actually like the exhaust tips.

My only criticism is that I would not have chosen crushed bends, as your friend owns an exhaust shop he could have ordered in mandrels as the from the pictures those are very easy angles to obtain -or- he could have ordered 180 degree U bends and done "pie-cuts" to achieve the desired angle and keep the O.D the same.

Hope that silver paint on the exhaust stays.
