How much difference do you really notice with real world hard driving, or does the MB suspension's limitations show up first?

As far as the 0-60 times, I think MB is a bit more conservative in their publishing the data. I'm guessing that they've gotten times like this, too. But they seem to take an average, or a "under normal circumstances" time, and use that, instead.

Some mfgs are more liberal, imho (BMW, as an example) for their advertising.
That's surprising. I would have thought for sure the LSD would improve straight-line performance as well. It would almost have to wouldn't it? Because there's no period of time during which you're only spinning one tire on launch. Seems like it should make the car easier to launch, which should translate to better times.

I really surprised there wasn't a big difference between the LSD and non-LSD cars. I have been considering a quaife, hoping to improve off-the-line performance and try to get rid of traction issues, but I guess I might re-think that now. At least you guys corrected my impression before I spent any money, so thanks for that!

Besides if you're racing for pinks and really need to save some weight, we can smash our panos out..!! That's gotta be good for at least 2 tenths....

I put my dusty PBOX back in the car for the commute today.

1.09 peak G on the on-ramp.

On the way home it was 101F outside. I (240lb) and my commute buddy (160lb) were in the car.

Turned in a 4.5s 0-60, traction on, no blinking traction lights. Just the slightest chirp (to avoid unwanted attention).

These cars are awesome.

MJ and Mo, my "E63BS" is running stong!!!

I think the Pano roof has a similar deleterious effect, as you have noted in your post.
Are you still sure about all that Juicee??
Yo RobDoc, those 030 rims on your E63 are just sick!!!

Thanks Dogg.
What will really be sick is my carbon interior trim that will be installed next week. Pics. to follow when it's done!
