Nitto Tires
Do any of you guys use Nitto tires? I would appreciate the feedback. I know the INVO's are the best. Has anyone put these on their 55?

I've heard alot of good things about them. I have a few friends that are running the tires and they all say that they are great. I was thinkin about trying them out this time around but I decided last minute to pull the trigger on T1-R's again.
Unfortunately though for your beast, there won't be a tire out there that will be able to handle all that torque for the street!!!

Thank you for the feedback guys! Perhaps I should clarify my thread, I am getting a free set of the tires for a project. I am looking for other members that have used or are currently using the tires to complete my research.
Sun are these buddies on the board? Are they MB owners?
fr33kn,
Have you tried both of the tires? I was told that would be the best street tire for my set up?

I have used both the R888's and the NT05's. was going to try the invo's instead of the NT05 but after talking to my tire guy I decided to go a little more sticky then then Invo, but not quite as sticky as the R888. Thats where the NT05 fits in. Someplace in the middle between the two.

The NT 05s are stickier, more noisey, and wear quicker than the Invo's. I have heard great things about both tires. Invo's for street duty and NT 05s for roadcourse duty. Knowing your driving style I would go with the NT 05s ms. canyon carver. Plus it will give you a little more grip in the straights but it wont last as long and will be noisey.
The Toyo R888 is a great tire (once again a little noisey) but it is a r compound tire. It will have more grip than any regular compound street tire. I've used them with great results at the roadcourse. Actually still have some on my kinesis wheels for roadcourse duty

I run the INVOs and love them. Still pull low 1.7 sixty foots and I am sure with more power, will still hold a high 1.6 sixty. They are very quiet and ride is nice.
Great rain, track and all around street tire.

I am running INVO's in 20's currently and LOVE'em
I came from Maserati's with Pirelli's, in comparison, Invos are definately stickier and quieter by far. These feel very stable in rain as well. It's hard to keep my rear-end planted eversince I installed a 'sprint-booster' but Invos do a fantastic job keeping my rear-end stright most of the time, well sort of

Nitto Invo didn't do too well in the recent Car and Driver tire test. Here's a summary:

Would it be safe to compare the Invo's/NT05's to the PS2's/PS? I currently have PS2's because they stick better than the Pilot Sports. So can I assume the same comparison on the two Nitto tires?
Pt2pt- They are free!![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Sun or anyone else reading this...if you have, had, or know someone with the tires who are interested in getting media exposure please contact me.

CynCarvin,
Tires regardless of performance are drivin by budget these days. The INVO's are still a good tire for the norm. I tried the PZero a couple of years ago and went back to the PS'2. PS'2 are perfect for canyon drivers until the tread wears. Once they wear down the backend slips a bit even with the LSD. No fun for someone that likes to Apex at $1700 per set. How much are the Pzero 19's per set typically?
BTW...Canyon Carver? Where do you live? We would have a blast if you lived in Cali.

As for my opinion, I don't have a Benz but I have tried Nitto's twice in my life and I'll never do it again. I was lured into the Nitto Invo by all the great reviews and I don't know what the heck people are talking about. WHen cold they ride like crap. Sort of skittish or not sure-footed. Takes a long while to warm up. They are hard, loud when half way and get to the half-life spot quickly. They do look cool though and that's the only positive I have.
I wouldn't put them on my car, even for free....but you can. Hey, they're free.

Get a MB that is modified and we can talk. My tires only last about 6mo. with my heavy foot! Many people buy the tire or they wouldn't make it????
It's worth a try.

Benzgal - I'm currently running 18" Invos on Renntech Monolites; they're great all 'rounders. IMHO, a free set is a no-brainer. As mentioned, the NT-05 is allegedly a better track tire, at the expense of some street civility. NT-01, even more so. Best of luck!

Out Of Control!!
I hear the NT 05s are excellent track tires and Invos excellent street tires. For performance minded drivers like us I would get the NT 05s, who cares if they are noisey I cant hear em over my exhaust anyway lol
#25
+1 thats what I figured. Could barely hear the R888's over my exhaust so to me the NT05s are quiet. Great tire for the buck IMO. Will probably get again.
