Vredestein tires for my w211 rear
Hi all,
One of my rear tires was low yesterday and not realizing it for about a mile, I ended up getting a bubble. I'm riding around on a spare tire right now. I am looking for the largest size vredesteins or tire that I can install on my stock e55k 18 inch wheels. I also would really appreciate it if you could recommend a website/vendor that will give me the best price for these.

Well, I'm just looking for a lower priced solution right now. After searching this forum- the Vred's seemed to be the most recommended lower priced solution. Any other suggestions for under $200 a tire??
thanks Shar

Wow! You don't think the Vreds will hook up? Best tires I have ever had on the car. Just took off the Toyo's and I think the Vreds are a big step up. I am running a 285 on a 20inch rim. I thought that was the biggest I could go but the Vreds have a sidewall that isn't straight up and down...it angles in which I'm told is for fender clearance. You can go wider than 285 with this tire. I went to "cleanin out the garage" on Ebay stores. Paid 190 a tire (285 30 20). Just my .02

Jay, can you please point me to the proper tire size for my stock 18's? I need these asap. I didn't see that seller with the 285/35/18's.

Hey meek,
If you're looking for the cheapest option there is a Cooper Zeon 2XS that is sold for $76 on some websites. I have no experience with that specific Cooper tire but I've had good luck with Cooper's in the past on my WS6. I haven't had to put tires on the E55 yet. Might be an option to get you by till you throw some wider wheels on her.

Exactly what I meant. I mean we spend all this money to get more power and we can't put it to the ground due to t/c turning on due to tires not hooking up.

I haven't ran the same sizes between the 2 tires so I'm not really sure, but I'm also a BIG fan of T1-R's. They are great. The Vred's are almost on the same level. They are priced extremely competitively and they perform very well IMHO.

I currently have 245/35/19 up front and 275/30/19 in the rear. I believe my DPE rims are 8.5 Front and 9.5 Rear.
Was told going 285 in the rear would mess with my speedometer being accurate? Any comments on this?
Was thinking of an inexpensive set of rear tires since those don't last long. Have the toyo tr1s and they have been great...will keep those up front for sure.
Thanks.
