Input on wheel choice
Hi everyone, I also posted this on the picture thread but I wanted input on the execution of these wheels. I had not heard about this sort of treatment for the finish of wheels until recently and I wanted to try it out. The wheels are 20" Modulare M11A, 20x8.5 in the front and 20x10 in the rear. The finish is called a "smoked clear" finish. The face is brushed with a slight tint to the clear coat. In the light it looks like a typical brushed wheel, but in the shade the slight tint can be seen. As you can imagine, it's subtle but I think it's interesting. Toyo Proxes T1R tires. The lowering job was done solely by tweaking the STAR diagnostic settings. Thanks to Peter at Wheel Experts.
Just wanted some opinions about it:

a Rivera...via a Custom 24, Strat and Les Paul
They don't look ghetto to me (just a variation of the amg sloted five spoke three piece) everybody has their own opinions. . . I personally like the tint in the shade better than the full on polished look in the direct sunlight. . .

I like it. Peter has been in the industry for a long time and he knows what he's doing! I've bought numerous sets of wheels from him! Great guy to work with!

Wow, when I chose the wheels the farthest thing from my mind was "ghetto" but to each his own. I appreciate your input regardless.
Peter and I have been friends for 15+ years. I finally got around to getting this car last year and after much persuasion, Peter nudged me enough to get some wheels. Now I'm planning out some more things I want to do with the car. I feel an itch coming on and it makes me (and my wallet) nervous...

I like it as well, not ghetto at all IMO.
I had a similar, but less dramatic, look on my silver E39 M5 - SSR GT2s with split 5-spoke brushed centers, rivets, and big polished lips.

Great choice, the wheels look fantastic on your E55. They are far from ghetto.
I also have a set of the Modulare M11's from Peter@wheelexperts. I'll post some pics up when I get a chance.

I tend to like a little more meat on my rims but if this is your taste, the combination is not bad at all. Wish I could get STAR lowering in the San Fran Bay Area...
