Hi,

New member here, looking for a clean E55 and was hoping I could solicit some advice from knowledgeable mbworld members.

http://www.carprices.com/inventory/d...78/UI_brochure

Looking at this car, CPO, pretty loaded minus pano roof and 24k miles.

What would be a good price to offer?

Thank you very much, I look forward to joining the owners community as soon as I find a good deal on a clean car.

Something is wrong with the description..... 3.5 V6 265HP......9
The asking price $49K is too high, I think it worth $40K top with 24K miles.
It also depends on the equipment, Is it Pano roof ? Keyless Go (not the same as Keyless remote), parking sensor ? cooling and heating seat ? rear sun-shade ?
In my opinion, all equiped should be about $40K

Charly-

Thanks for the feedback. Yes the web description is incorrect. Yes keyless go, premium w/ active seats but NO pano roof, rear sun shade but I believe no trunk closer (couldn't care less). Parktronic equipped.

This is per a discussion with a salesman about the car.

Your thought of $40 is where I am too, my thinking is that given the W212 is now out dealers have to be scrambling to dump W211's.

If the consensus is that this car (assuming clean in person) as equipped is worth $40k I'll offer that and see how motivated they are.

Thanks

I think you will be hard pressed to scoop that car for that cheap. If they take $40K that would be a smoking deal and I would jump on it right away.

I just picked up my '06 with 47K for $37K, it has a few more options than the car you are looking at but about the same overall.

My local MB deal has a white loaded to the gills '06 E55 with 14K miles and they want $49.9K for it.

Great find and good luck.

Yasin-

Thanks for the feedback, given it's CPO and just had tires/brakes changed I'm more than willing to pay a fair price- just don't know what that is. My thinking is in the neighborhood of $41,500 is a reasonable deal on a car that's local/clean.

If the board consensus is that $43k or $45k is a fair deal I'm happy to pay that. Don't really care about Pano roof nor parktronic and other than that the car is pretty loaded with original sticker of $90,505 including destination/gas guzzler

(lighting, premium w/ active seats, keyless trunk, keyless go- got the true original option list faxed over)

At Manheim those low mile 55's are going for @36-37. Then you add fees $500, shipping $400 and detail $200 then add CPO and tires and brakes. A good price would be @$43. The dealer get their 2k or so and you get a awsome car with full warranty and tip top shape!

Go price the same car on the MB website and it will give you a good idea of the price. Are you getting a CPO?

I agree 43k would be a steal but you could probably get it lower. I got mine for under 40k out the door and it had 16k miles on it and a Pano roof. They are sadly going for high 20s to low 30s in auction and don't forget the 5k in CPO cost mark up has a built in profit for them. I'd try to get it for mid 30s out the door if you can or it may sit on their lot for a while. There's about a dozen up in NorCal with 40k miles and they have been asking 40k for almost a year now. I even asked them a year ago when I got mine to justify the cost when the dealer I got mine at had theirs lower with low miles. Which is why she's sitting in my drive way and they are still cycling through salesmen haha. Still if you want the car 43k would be worth it IMO but it never hurts to try, but that's coming from a natural Ahole.

Good luck and I hope you get her soon so you can enjoy the beast like I enjoy mine! Let us know when you get her and get that giggle laugh when you get on her for the first time and can say she's all yours!
