Cool video but also somewhat of a pathetic reminder that our "sophisticated" E55s really have very little advancement in technology when it comes to rear differentials over what was available 70 years ago :-\ (when this video was made).

Watching how LSDs would be your next step to understanding diffs... that is pretty cool stuff.

If they had this level of detailed explanation in todays world the schools would pump out a larger volume of smarter kids LOL! Its practically idiot proof.

If you have ever driven on the street with a spool you quckily learn "how a rear end works" No fun parking a car in a tight spot with both axels locked together.

^^ +1 . I used to have a drift car back in Oz, 2 way-lsd, although by no means a spool, you'd have a hard time getting around corners without the wheels just skipping... I don't think I ever tried to parallel park with it, but it was fun just having the rear end come out anytime u wanted it to around a corner
