having an E63 I do notice lots of statements for E55 for the 63 topics.
One recent is when I went to the dealer and ask for a fleece oil filter for my E63

This is the reason why their needs to be separate sub-sections for the E55 and the E63, so that we can eliminate the confusion.

No offense taken... Who is confused? Many people with vehicles other than the E class come here looking for information, as this is definitely the most active forum of the entire site... Hence my generalized post regarding the SBC system...

2007 Mercedes E63 AMG
front pad change is very straight forward. all multi piston brembo calipers are pretty much the same process. if you need to press in your pistons just use a pry bar or screwdriver and pry them inwards.
