smoke

go to a body shop to do the work, all they do is mix some black into a clear coat and spray.

Most car tuners send them off to a body shop anyways but you are looking for a shop HMS in orange county does great work

Gee. I thought this would be something interesting about an electrical short in a tail light causing it have smoke come out.

Sigh.

uhh please dont do it. It was cool like 7 years ago, but it just reminds of whats the word i'm searching for......GHETTO!!! I cant stand it, i see mazdas, 300's, 3 series, hondas ect. ect. ect. all fully sponsored by stock, but they all got their tails all blacked out......it looks ugly, screams pull me over and should ONLY ONLY ONLY be done if the car is pretty modded and the tails are sprayed LIGHTLY. I say, less is more, keep the car clean and tasteful, dont buy the autozone package please!

where are you exactly located? HMS did godfather's car but like highend said smoked it lightly and do so if you have minor mods......on a stock car it'll look out of place

Couldnt agree more, although I think Ghetto is a bit of a misnomer. Ghetto is all 24 inch spinners and jacked suspension etc etc. In any event yeah, its one of those things which unless you are AMGFAN etc (ie drive god himself's car), youre just not going to pull it off without it looking fail. imho

smoked

I have to totally disagree with your comments. First off, the guy is interested in smoking his tails not blacking them out. If its done correctly, certain cars look great with smoked or blacked out tails. I have seen hundreds of lambos with blacked out tails and it looks great.

I have a light smoke on my tails and it looks a hundred times better.

150 for the work is a great price, most places chrage 250-350 for the work

I'm from the ghetto (Lakewood, WA) and live in the ghetto (Rainier Beach area in Seattle), so I guess I can still smoke my tail lights.

Seriously though, I think a LIGHT smoke is cool if it matches the car (and as noted in my other thread, I want to keep my car classy). If that P-car is "ghetto," give me a pimp cup. As someone alluded to above, just don't put 24" spinners and decal stickers of a crown in your rear window.
