IC Reservoir Tanks & Kits, gotta do this for MB bruthas!

* EDITED *

I found my own from what looks to be exact same vendor/fabricator of these tanks.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ice-W...Q5fAccessories

Here's his attatched add text
Hello,Up for bidding is a NEW Aluminum 5 gallon Intercooler tank for a Turbo,For ice and water It is 5" tall 16" Wide 16" Deep it is made of .100" Aluminum,It has 1" NPT fittings for the out and return,It also has a screen so ice does not get in your pump and it has a 1/2" Drain.I can also make you one that will hold your pump on the inside. And if you want a different style of tank thats close to the same size i can do it for the same price. And I make intercooler tanks for your battery tray(I also can make a tank inside of a tank so it can be insulated it will keep ice for a long time)This will fit in some spare tire areas.I also make Custom Fuel Cells any size or shape, send me your measurments and i will get you a price,And i will guarantee you will love the quality of my tanks CHECK MY FEEDBACK, MY TANKS ARE AS NICE OR BETTER AS ANY STORE BOUGHT,I am a Certified Welder. If you would like to see pictures of other tanks i have done ask for some pics and i will email them to youThanks For Looking If you have any ? please ask
Actual tank in ANY fitment you need just email/call him he'll build it to your spec's brand new $160.00 Delivered NOT $500 like LET (yes they can include Dry-Ice container inside tank w/2 caps about $20 extra

He'll add whatever NPT mount you need/want 1/2" 3/4" 1" (order 1/2" it works best w/3/4" hose!

Hoses (I finally decided by asking Alan, Bassan_07 current E55 champ!) 3/4" Goodyear Heater hose about 30 feet, has to route to Heat Exhanger then back to Reservoir.

Any Autozone carries this @ about $1.00 foot, I.E. $33 bucks out the door

Fittings use 1/2" NPT available @ Frozenboost.com they are made in Copper, also buy about (6) 1" Worm Gear clamps, & 1/2" Ball Valve for purging hot water from trunk about $35.00 delivered

Don't buy the hoses from Frozenboost, they charge $3+ per foot for generic heater hose

Frozenboost also has a generic 3+ gallon tank available for $99
& Stock Bosch IC Pumps $119 http://www.frozenboost.com/product_i...0913388f32ba0f

Extra CM30 12 Volt pump to circulate all this coolant/Ice water $145 Delivered from here http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/

You now have ALL parts needed minus Ice/Coolant for roughly $373.00 Delivered

I'd sugest going as big as possible, more cooling fluid volume even when not Iced equals lower IAT's & better perf, + more capacity for Ice when @ track or racing. If set on circle design just measure space EXCATLY I.E. 8x8x8 just example W/L/H for a FULL circle then just cut measurements in half for Semi-Circle, after you get measurements explain to Donny you want semi-circle to fit wheel well...

After you have Measurements I have niffty simple equation to find your total liquid capacity if you give them to me

Hey Sean,
Thanks for pming me the details. I emailed Donny and I will take measures tonight and get this going tommorrow or Monday !!! I have seen this setup work well with only one pump and not two. Guy was running 11.30 with just one pump in the back, pumping the liquid to the front...

You misunderstood me, I meant use (1) in rear in conjuction w/stocker in front bumper by HE or CM30 up front in replacement of older crappy Bosch (Though the newer Bosch is rumored to be just as good)

That is one of the reasons I got rid of my E55, I was tired of paying for stuff that should not be. These tanks have been made for the 03/04 cobras for 6 years now and the cost roughly the same as that ebay auction. I am glad you guys are starting to open up the aftermarket to outside vendors which will bring a whole new outlook on cost effective performance upgrades, not the raping we usually take.

I agree with you 100% i come from owning 2003-2004's whippled cobras What vendors in this community charge for in comparison are some very low quality parts is criminal. 3-4K for headers and $2400 for a cat-back exhaust system is insane. Im also glad to see more vendors that deal with other platforms offereing us parts at a reasonable price. I even contaced some DSM and Supra shops and asked them to consider our cars as well.

I'm going krazzee w/it just re-measured & can shoehorn a 13 Gallon bathtub version in the back of my SL, my 5.5 gallon will be up for Sale soon it's brand new I'll only ask what I paid $160 delivered

Adding a lil' weight over the rears couldn't hurt traction

I hear ya, when was the last time you heard of a any type of pulley, weather it includes balancer or not costing 1200+ dollars
even with a belt and WP pulley.

I come from the Turbo Buick,Mustang world and am floored at what guy here pay for stuff.

Especially pulleys and headers, the tune is huge cash also, but i believe the software is very exp to handle this.

The best High performance tuners in the country that tune 3000HP american cars work inteh 500-800 range normally, although the software to tune these types of cars come with the aftermarket ECUs which only run 2000 for a complete racing ECU with a complete wiring harness.

Ive been tuning these types o f ECUs for 12 years now,I would love to get my hands on the software to tune the Benz ECU if someone can lead me to it.
I can tell you I would not be charging 1000-2000 to tune the ecu

Why would you want ANOTHER 100+ lbs in your car

13 gallon is over kill even IF you were a raod racer. Depending on your HE size, sooner or later ANY system is going to reach equalibrium. That is no matter WHAT capacity you have, the temperature IS going to get hot sooner or later. Bottom line guys, don't fill up your entire wheel well with a HUGE tank, it simply wont do a thing for you, except add weight. A large HE coupled with a 2-3 gallon resivoir"SP" will be MORE than adequate for ANY drag racing needs. Also, IF you are using the dry ice system, you do know that you will need LESS water, aka higer temperature differential do to the dry ice. If you would go with a 13 gallon tank, you better also have one HE__ of a LARGE dry ice resoivior as well to cool down all of that water.

This is exactly what came to mind when i saw people posting 7+ gallon reservoirs. Im curious to know how much coolant 30' of line holds in addition to the tank itself.

I believe the returns may be greater than the weight itself. For example with the 5+ gallon set up you could run back to back runs without a drop in constant boost, Heat soak becomes a major problem at the V12 level. The heat generated by those 2 snails is immense not to mention the way they are packed under the hood. Mercedes did a poor job in this department. My car gained a 30rwhp from this mod, I have dynos to prove them. I was just using the 5 gallon one at the time with ICE it becomes a deadly combo. y:
