awesome, now the only thing you need is the Chrysler extended warranty before your CPO expires. From what I've read in this forum everyone give Chrysler thumbs up.

a Rivera...via a Custom 24, Strat and Les Paul
ChuckZ - Thanks again - would have never guessed the rears had a 3.25in lip - looks absolutely fantastic. Definitely on the short list - lucky for me my B-day and Christmas are close together and I have a long standing tradition of buying myself presents that I really "need".
Jacksdad - congrads - looks good - way to make the dealership work for you for a change (was it ASC in Bethesda?).

E55 Wagon
Motorkas- it was Euro in Bethesda. I think ASC is over in VA. The ad went up on cars.com Sunday(when they were closed). I went over Sunday evening at 10PM looked at the car (which still wasn't cleaned up yet) and made up my mind to be at the dealership as soon as they opened Monday morning. There weren't even pictures up online yet and they already had emails from people across the country looking to buy the car. Normally I'm not so impulsive when it comes to buying a car, but in this case I didn't want to lose out. Guess it was meant to be...even though my wife thinks my choice in baby haulers should have been something a little less expensive.

E55 wagon, Porsche 550 replica
Looks like there are more wagons on here than I thought.
What is everyone's favorite thing about the wagon? It is silly, but I think it is neat in cold weather the way the back window fogs up from the exhaust for a moment when you stomp on the gas. I assume that doesn't happen in the sedan. That and the way the wagons don't even get a glance from the police.

Jacksdad - thanks for the correction - I meant Euro (always confuse the two) - Congrads again - curious to see what your wife's opinion is going to be after a few weeks behind the wheel. My wife went from purposely not driving the car to register some kind of protest to now proactively and sheepishly asking "is ok for me to drive the car". This weekend we were playing with a Boxster S at speeds that literally made her cover her mouth in horror but I actually consider that a step in the right direction - last week she would have been screaming blood murder with all sorts of profanity laced threats thrown in for good measure - this car is capable of corrupting even the most uncorruptable. Give it time. . . and have a tape recorder ready for when she finally admits the error of her ways.
ChuckZ- once again - thanks or the info.

Shoot, my wagon became my wife's car when we got married in February. She lets me drive it though
Can't complain, given my DD.

So far I'm enjoying the car, but there are a few kinks that need to be worked out, and I am a little skeptical that the dealership went over the car as thoroughly as the CPO info says they should have.
I'm a little annoyed that the keyless go isn't working, and the car is telling me it should be serviced in less than 4K. I'll be making a service appointment this week to get everything worked out.

There is an 07 e63 with P2 package for sale at the Mercedes dealer in NY and they are asking 62K with 100K warranty. I think $55K will take it home.
Been searching on and off for an E55 or E63 Wagon, but pretty lean results.
Found one on ebay a few weeks ago, but it was a bit high for my checking account...
Not sure I am ready right now as I keep putting my money in cheap real estate in Florida for investment purpose, but kind of hoping to find a clean AMG wagon for a price I can not resist...As in a short-sale..
Love my E-500 Wagon, and the only thing that could top it would the Uber Wagon...Send me a PM if any of you guys see or hear about a smoking hot deal on one of those.
(Got to be the same color as my 500 so wifey won't notice)
Keep the pictures coming, makes my mouth water...Yum.

I'm in the market for an 07 wagon and having it CPOed isn't a requirements but I want one with a clean history and relatively low miles.
Are their any other sites that are good for looking for E63 Sedan/Wagons? I used cars.com, ebay.com and autotrader.com.

Don't know if MBUSA has a searchable inventory function on their site but you might look there in addition to the ones you note above.....

04 - 06 e55 Wagon - looking for
Did you see this wagon in the classifieds? The seller turned down $55K a few weeks back and the ebay listing ended with no sale (second time posted) at $56K. I believe a winter set of wheels come with the car as well as new OZ 19" wheels. The seller may even have the original OEM wheels. Give him a shout if he still has the car. 21K miles.

......a quick look at autotrader shows 46 sedans:
Asking prices
Highest Price: $65,500
Lowest Price: $47,800
Average Price: $55,647
Based on the above and given it is a super rare wagon, I'm thinking they're not far off....

The rarity of the wagon can go either way and prices have increased since gas prices have gone down. Throw in the economy and more people are willing to chase pre-owned cars. 05 e55 wagons were going for $37K - $40K, an 06 when for $46K albeit 30K miles. There was an outlier on Ebay at 45K, but the person who bought that wagon sold a classic Benz circa 1940 a week prior to winning the auction. 07 prices dropped 5K to 10K (from dealer asking price) during that time.
That E63 wagon has been at the dealer for three weeks now. I'm still betting $55K takes it home. But there is a chance someone will offer closer to 60K at which point the dealer will let it go. I would chase the wagon in Chicago - perhaps you can strike a deal on paper and save a few thousand on registration. Good luck.

I saw the dealer car listed for $58,800 a couple of months ago. It sat at that price and didn't move. The new dealer CPOed the vehicle and priced it up to $61,999. I think it will go for $55-56k unless someone is totally in love with the car.
