I got the keys for the e55k today was not to impressed with the power to be honest was expecting a little bit more, could there be a problem with the power as it aint too fast, the roar is not as loud as i want it. Can anyone help me please.

how do i check that, also whats the cost on two front brake disks need a set of them as the ones on them are rusted.

 

You have no power at all? If the supercharger is shut off altoghether, you car will be as powerful as an E320.

As for the brakes, if it's just rusted after braking a few times it will go away. I wouldn't worry about it.

 

I got a escort cosoworth and seems a touch faster than that, but i got a feeling my e320 cdi will catch up with it which is a bit of worry for me, how do i check if the supercharger is on or off.

 

go to the dealer, tell them you think your IC Pump has failed and to run for any other codes.

 

Could they also check if the car is still under warranty if it aint would it cost me for them to do a check.

 

Well to know if the car's supercharger is off... it feels like an E320 lol.

They won't charge you to check if you're under the manufacturer's warranty. What year and how many miles? I don't know how it is in the UK (that's where you are? or in US?) as far as warrant coverage is concerned.

 

I am in the uk its a 2003 with a 100k, just come in today and trying to get my head around it

 

Factory warranty is out for sure, unless they got some certified preowned deal i don't know about.

They'd probably charge you an hour worth of work to figure out what's wrong with it. Could be as simple as the intercooler pump or something else... hard to tell. And I don't know how to tell what's wrong.

In the US, there are 3rd party warranty companies you can get coverage from.

As for the sound, the car is pretty quiet stock. I have removed the resonators and gutted the mufflers so now I have a pretty deep growl.

well no as it arrived without me test driving it, the car seems to heat up quick is well is that normal, i will try getting it checked out in the morning. All help is appreciated

The car is a amg 100% sure the engine is there, but the power aint, no this thread aint a dreamers thread

Just change your I/C pump i just had to do mine on the CLS55. My car had no power either.

Your Ic pump has failed.... very rare someone isn't impressed with the e55k's power... Unless they're coming from a 6oo+rwhp supra or something like that... Do a new ic pump(cm30 or the new dealer revised one) And a Heat exchanger and you will be good to go...
