How much a typical labor cost to install Heat Exchanger, IC Pump and Thermostat?

Question How much a typical labor cost to install Heat Exchanger, IC Pump and Thermostat?

My local mechanic said $400 to install Heat Exchanger, IC Pump and Thermostat.....too high or about right?

Coming from a turbo background, i think there is absolutely no benefit from a 72c thermostat.

split your cooling system instead. T/S is kinda located below the S/C pulley, you will see a metal tube coming out of the engine, the T/S is housed in that.

Based on the fact that you need to remove the bumper and the Tstat is a PITA to replace, I'd say its fair. Just make sure theyput back in MB coolant or equivalent. I've had a few cars come in with the "green stuff" that other shops had put in.
