Need some advice, looking at an 2003 Tectite Gray E55. Private seller has around 60k miles. Car has the carbon fiber trim, lighted door sills, distronic, keyless go, does not have pano, parktronic, or dynamic seats which I really wanted. Is this something worth paying a premium price for or will this President Edition car hold its' value better? Is $25,000 a good price? There are some 04's I'm looking at online with Pano that I like in the similar price range. Any advice appreciated.

Personaly its nice to have a President edition but all depend on the option you want. I love the Parking sensor and the dynamicSeat. For $25K is the right price but I rather chose 2004 all equiped. Reselling value wont be much better even for President edition.......(just my opinion)

Sounds like Sandoval's car.

the carbon fiber trim is nice as are the door sills. for me i love the pano roof and dynamic seats!!!!!!!!!!!

there is no premium for this car. i have a tectite color and if it is not a Presidents Edition so if you like the color you don't have to settle on this one.

i say keep shopping until you find what you want!

Basically, I guess with the President Edition all you really get is the carbon fiber trim and lighted door sills. I can offer $23,000 and see what happens. Just wanted some opinion if the car is even worth it. I would rather have silver with pano as many others would as well, maybe that combo would be better for resale in the long run. I am willing to buy the car, if people on this forum feel it is worthwhile, if not guess i'll wait for something else.

Like others said, it's not going to be worth a premium any more. When your 90k car is worth 25k, your options aren't worth much of anything. At best, they're things that might help the car sell faster. It's a totally different pool of buyers; not picking on guys who're buying 25k cars, but a car without the CF trim & illuminated sills isn't going to be worth much less.

MB Canada has a sale on all extra stock of accessories....they are being depleted fast though.

FYI, AMG illuminated door sills are $350 for our car.
