Opinions, spoiler lip or not?
I can't decide. I want the E63 spoiler lip but the wife and other neighbors say it will make the car look too...well, uh....ghetto.
I am completely stock.
Help?

Who is driving the car? If you like it do it. If you're afraid it will look ghetto paint it body color so it isn't so obvious. I mean it's a factory option on a Mercedes how ghetto could that be?

A lip spoiler...ghetto? Maybe if you teamed it with 24" gold wire spinners, faux purple fur lined interior, mirror ball, glitter paint and some Parliament pumping out of the sub box in the back ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
do the lip and diffuser at the same time = respekt homeboy

The e63 lip spoiler adds a very classy yet sporty element to the rear end. To each his own, but I only like it when paint matched.
The spoiler was not an option on the e55, only on 2007-09 e classes, and of course, standad on the e63.

Thanks for the inputs guys. I'm gettin' it. ,.!., to my neighbors then LOL ![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Last question: Does the E63 spoiler lip require drilling because I called the parts guy at Mercedes and he said he thought it did. I thought it was simply a tape on. I know the aftermarket ones are, but I'm only interested in the OEM one...

I have an aftermarket one so I can't say for sure, but I'd be shocked if the OEM one required drilling.
In fact, if it does require drilling, I'd opt for a reputable aftermarket one instead. I think mine is Eurotek and it fits like OEM.

Yeah, I was debate about the same. I decided to get CF rear trunk spoiler and CF rear diffuser and forgo the front lip for now. If I get a front lip, it'll non CF. With CF lip, any slight touch to the parking-stop block (work of devil) it'll crack. Good luck with your choice.
